Review 1 for Spectrastone PermaGlo Aquarium Gravel, Pink

I almost did not buy these vibrant pink rocks for our aquarium because of the previous review stating that the rocks bleed into the water, but something in the review seemed off so I thought I'd give it a try. As I suspected, the previous person probably had troubles because she boiled the rocks. It states in BIG BOLD print in the instructions DO NOT BOIL. So I followed the instructions and just rinsed the rocks (like I have with every other aquarium rock that I have purchased). I have had them in the water for a couple weeks with absolutely no bleeding. These are a beautiful vibrant pink color and a great buy.

I was so excited to find pink rocks for my betta's home. I noticed they were a little dusty so I boiled them (twice) and they continue to leech a pink dust into my tank. I ended up chucking them. I will stick to glass marbles.

DO NOT BOIL
Posted 12/16/2011
Directions on this product state DO NOT BOIL. You boiled them twice. Seems like the problems you had might be coming from boiling them. I did not boil my rocks & had no problems with bleeding into the water.
