The Silvertone SD3000 guitar package with instructional software is terrific for beginners. This full-sized dreadnought acoustic guitar has a natural top, mahogany stained back and sides, rosewood fingerboard, and quality, die-cast tuning machines. The Silvertone SD3000 acoustic guitar set includes eMedia's Starter Guitar Lessons software that will get beginners off to a good start. The Silvertone acoustic guitar set includes lessons on everything from stringing the guitar to playing chords. Players can fine tune their skills with the help of the video demonstrations conducted by professional guitar instructor Kevin Garry. This Silvertone SD3000 acoustic guitar package also includes a digital guitar tuner, chord chart, guitar picks, extra set of strings, and much more for making wonderful music.

I ordered the product for my daughter's birthday and didn't think it would arrive in time but it did. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She loves it but I thought it came witha beginners book but we can purchase separately. Also she wanted it in black but didnt see that one on the web sight but it was on the web during Christmas.

The problem I had was the CD to help learn the guitar was for putting in the computer not a CD player and my nephew does not have a computer. He is challenged, 40 years old and although can operate the TV and remotes, he financially does not have a computer. That was the bummer to all this. Otherwise, he was over the top having his own "real" guitar. He plays along with all his CD's on his TV or boom box I just wish that the CD that came with the guitar would work in the TV or on his CD player.

I love my guitar I have never played but I am having so much fun learning it. The disk that came with it is informative. I got eveything in the kit except the clip thing that goes across the strings. Other than that it is perfect I have also found lot's of free lessons online and everyday I am excited for my next lesson/

I ordered my Silvertone Guitar Package on 12/4, and the projected Site to Store delivery date was 12/10/12. I just about fell off my chair when I got word on 12/6 that my item was ready for pickup at our local WalMart. Amazing delivery. The instrument was much better than I was expecting, and the tuner and CD-ROM functioned perfectly. My previous statement about the strings was mistaken, this is a steel string acoustic guitar, no nylon stings. This guitar is comparable to one I paid $400 for ten years ago. The gig bag is terrific, but I will be buying a hard case later to protect the instrument better. Two thumbs up and ten stars for Silvertone.

This is a great guitar for a beginner. I don't know much about guitars but my son LOVES it.
The only thing we weren't impressed with was the computer disk that is called Instructional Software. But there's always you tube!

I bought this guitar without any experience playing. I can't judge the quality of the guitar's sound because after 2 weeks of learning to play I still suck, but am very happy with my purchase. The guitar looks nice and seems to play well. It came packaged with everything listed, but the software didn't impress me very much. I was able to find better self-training tools online. My only complaint is the saddle started cracking after 3 days of playing the guitar, but for $2.50 at a local guitar store I was able to buy a better quality replacement and it is fine now. For anyone looking for a decent first guitar this is a good purchase.

I'm just learning to play, but the disk I got with mine wasn't as useful as some online training I've found. Check out http://guitar.about.com/library/blguitarlessonarchive.htm and see if that helps

I bought this guitar for my husband and he was very pleased with it. He's just a beginner so for the price it is a good value. He says it stays in tune for the most part and the instructional disc is helpful. We'll have to get a different strap because the plastic clasp broke on it but other than that he is really enjoying it.
