Schumacher Schumacher SpeedCharge 12-Amp Battery Charger
The Schumacher SpeedCharge 12-Amp Battery Charger is a great combination of efficiency, ease-of-use, and reliability. It is a microprocessor-controlled battery charger that monitors the condition of the battery and adjusts the rate of charge according to the battery condition. It also prevents the battery from getting over charged and getting damaged. This fully automatic battery charger is designed for 12-volt AGM, gel cell, and deep-cycle batteries. It also enables 8-amp medium charge and 2-amp slow charge for motorcycles, ATVs, snow mobiles, and lawn tractors. It features electronic push button controls and is easy to use and operate. This AGM battery charger has a digital display that shows the percentage of charge and also indicates the remaining volts. It is a quiet charger and does not make any noise. Even with so much capacity, this battery charger is lightweight and is very portable.

For the price it's everything you need in a charger for scooters, Lawn tractors, and boat batteries. It will not even start to charge until you have it properly connected. You can even touch the leads together and not get a spark, which I am sure we have all done before. It will give you a voltage read out or a percent of charge.

I purchased this battery charger because a friend had one and he raved about it. It is light weight and charges several types of battery compositions. (Acid, Gel, AGM) After ordering one online, I was disappointed in the digital readout not working properly straight out of the box. It seemed like some on the digits were burned out. I don't know if the charger would have worked for me as I returned it to the local store. I will stick with a digital meter and a traditional charger.

AFTER WAITING THE ALLOTED TIME FOR CHARGE. I HAD NO PROBLEM STARTING MY CAR WHICH HAD DEAD BATTERY FOR THREE MONTHS. THIS CHARGER DID ALL I NEEDED IT TO DO.

i like the LED read out that it has, and it has 2,8 & 12 amps settings. Also 3 types of batteries settings for std to gel battery settings. also it has a nice little fan that cools the inside of charger. i really like it !! think it will do well for my boat batteries.

I've had this charger for 4 plus years. Planning on getting another for a second car. I don't do a lot of driving being retired and with this charger I don't have to worry about starting the car and running it to charge up the battery. There is a fan in the charger that runs constant but being in the garage it doesn't bother me.

very light all plastic construction, white area displays nothing, words on it are a sticker, clamps are very small and barely durable. took a day and a half to fully charge a totally dead battery at full amps, but it did work well enough to getthe job done. at least it's not heavy or bulky. it's merely adequate nothing more.

I have used this charger on my RV heavy duty battery, a small scooter battery, and a car battery. Each time it shows a partial charge when first connected then 100 per cent after charging. I assume after reaching 100 per cent charge it switches to a low curent maintainance charge

Descent Charger, Auto Shutoff, digital readout, charges a variety of batteries. Case is plastic and a little thinner than I'd prefer, especially the back cord storage area. Kind of a tight area for storing the 120v cord and the cables.

The only way I could get the charger to charge the battery was to attach it to both negative and positive posts. I couldn't get it to work when grounding the negative lead to any metal part on the vehicle.
