Bowling Alley hand warmer

Our furnace broke and our living area was 58 degrees. Reading the reviews, I bought this heater to warm up a 20x17 room. When I plugged in it, the thermostat displayed 62 degrees. After an hour, the thermostat read 58 degrees. This unit kicks off minimal heat. The fan on the bowling alley hand warmer kicks off more air. Essentially, this is a $25 heater mounted on a higher platform.

My daughter lives in a very old building with windows from the 1800's. This heater worked great, had bought 3 previous and none did the job as good as this.

The heat output of the heater is good, however it does not cycle on and off very well with the thermostat, the cycle does not work at all on the low heat setting,I like to run electric heaters on the low setting most of the time, very dissapointed about the cycling or lack thereof

It is nice to be warm

After reading other reviews on this product I decided to try it. We cannot afford heating oil, so we have turned to electric. This is a great unit. Keeps the whole first floor significantly warmer then the 3 smaller units we were using before. Our Amazon Parrot is very happy, too. Great product, compact enough, and puts out a lot of heat. I'm planning on getting another for the basement!

It blows good heat on high. The only thing is that to adjust the direction of the flow it does not just adjust using the vent fins. The plastic knob is used to direct the entire heating element in the desired diection. The weight of the heating element feels heavy and hard to adjust. After leaving it in one position for awhile it feels like it is stuck when I try to change the direction of the air.

This heater is not worth the price. It only works as supplemental heat as it says on the box. It will not work as heat alone. It did not heat up our small apartment at all. It never got above 68 degrees.

I have owneed this heater for just 2 days now ,and living in an older (1979) 14x70 mobile home, which i swear has NO insulation, this thing works EXCELLENT!!! It has heated up the entire home in a matter of no time at all. constant steady heat. I must say that the fan could be a little more quiet but overall this heater works better than the oil cooled ones i have had in the past. I am having an issue with the AUTO mode, it doesnt seem to get to the temp i set it up to get to,but then again, this place has no insulation,...Would def recommend and in fact I will be going to purchase another 1 here in the next few days.

I've been looking for a heater to heat my family room. My house is over 2000 sq ft and the upstairs is warmer than the downstairs. After reading the reviews I thought this heater would work. It did not. It didn't heat the room at all and worked no better than the smaller heaters in which you can only feel the heat when standing right next to it. The others who said this heated their whole house must have very tiny homes. Very disappointed with this heater. It is going back to the store.

Review 10 for Lasko Cyclonic Ceramic Heater
Wonderful heater!

I purchased this heater for our downstairs family room. The room is about 22x20 and it is about 5-7 degrees cooler than our upstairs and is where my kids prefer to spend their time. I debated on one of those more expensive infra red heater, like the Sun Heater. After researching on heaters I came across this one and the reviews were great. I went to our local Wal Mart and they had one left. We plugged it in and set the automated timer for 2 hours. When I plugged it in it was 67 degrees and I set the heater for 72. It heated up that room very quickly and it is very comfortable in that room now. My son had a friend spend the night and we left the heater on 70 for the whole evening as they slept in the family room. They were extremely comfortable and stayed warm all night long. This heater is a great value for the $$ and works very well.

I Love This

I purchased this heater in hopes to save on my heating bill each month. Thus far, I love this heater. I put it in my living room which is an open floor plan to the kitchen and the dining room. It heats up the room well, the heater is quiet and it easily sits near the wall and out of the way. I have turned my furnance down to 65 and the heater does the rest!!! I'm on my way to saving and staying warm.

We live in a split level house. My son lives in the partially finished basement. It's about 400 sq ft. This is the ONLY heater we've been able to keep the basement warm with. We have central heating up and downstairs but it just was'nt enough to stay warm down stairs. Now it's down right toasty down there! I feel MUCH better knowing he's warm. thankyou walmart! I did alot of research and this is by far the best heater out there. Buy it, you won't be sorry.

Great heat!!

This heater produces great heat. I have a single wide trailer and the heat circulated to three rooms. The auto setting doesn't seem to work quite the same as other lasko heaters I have owned but it does eventually shut off. My living room was 60 degrees when I turned the machine on and it warmed up to 68 in about 15 min. Definately a great buy.

About what I expected
,

The product does heat and does a resonable job of it. That said, it is not meant to replace either a furnace or proper heat. It also matter whether you have good insulation or live in a climate where temps. routinely drop to the teens or lower. I'm using it presently in my living room and despite running it all day at HIGH, it has not been able to raise the temperature above 62. Not bad, considering it's 8 degrees outside. Still, not what I had hoped for. It is, after all, for "supplemental heat." Therefore, you need to have a good furnace or baseboard heat that works well to begin with. It will not replace those, no matter how long you have it on or at what setting. I don't quite get what all the extra plastic is for, since only a small portion of heater is really the active part of the unit.
Anyway. If you live in a reasonably nice climate where it might be above 30 most of the time, it will probably be okay for you. If you live in a northern climate, where it can be below 32 for days on end, then it probably won't heat more than just one bedroom or so. It's not a furnace, anc can't replace one.

I like this heater. It does a real good job, keeping the master bedroom and the large bathroom cozy. It took a couple hours to heat up the room to 70 degrees but after that it keeps ups with the cold weather. I set it at 67 degrees and it stays there all day, last night it went to 64 degrees and stayed running until it caught back up. the rooms together are 16 x 32 with 8' ceiling. I own three of these and my hole house is very warm. my furnace has been shut off all this time. my other two hearters are the same exccept for the color and they are remote contol with an ionizer. they cost a lot more.

I live in a 3,600 sq. ft two story home. This heater is used in my foyer which is located in the middle of my house on the first floor. This heater generates enough heat throughout my first floor that I am able to lower the thermostat on my central heat which in turn lowers my electrical charges per month. I will be buying a unit to place in the foyer of my upstairs floor.

I have two of these heaters and they work great. I was using kerosene heaters but the price of fuel had gotten so high we needed something else to heat with. I bought 1 to start with and put it in the living room, where we use our k-1 heater that puts out 10,000 btu, now we only use this heater and it keeps the room warm with out getting hot or cold, so a week later we bought another one for our bedroom, also we both told our parents about the heater and since they have each bought two as well.
