The Clarity Xl45 Amplified Phone comes with Digital Clarity Power technology that amplifies incoming sound up to 50dB and outgoing speed to nearly 15dB letting you have clear conversations. This extra loud telephone is hearing aid compatible and TIA-1083 compliant. Therefore even people with hearing loss can use this speaker phone. This technology reduces noise and compresses multiband to give you a good listening experience. It comes with four tone settings that you can choose from according to your convenience. The large 3.5" tilting LCD caller display lets you identify the caller with ease. You can save up to 12 numbers in the Clarity professional phone for speed dialing. This big button speakerphone has a dual power backup that lets you use it even when there is a power outage. It comes with a wall bracket for easy wall mounting.

The volume control has a good dynamic range to allow for various level of hearing loss. Tone control is also sufficiently adjustable to accommodate various types of hearing loss. The ringer is sufficiently loud that it can be readily heard; the volume as well as the ring tones are adjustable. It has the flexibility in adjustments to make it easy to accommodate a variety of people's needs.

Not worth the money

I have a moderate hearing loss and my job requires that I be on the phone a lot. I originally found this phone in a specialty catalog for the hearing impaired and was thrilled when I found it for $55 cheaper at Wal-Mart. After reading the reviews, I was sure this phone would work for me. I ordered it site to store and it came much earlier than expected -- a big plus. But the phone itself is worthless. The sound is tinny and distorted even when not turned up loud and I couldn't hear myself in my headphones. The indicator lights for the ringer, outgoing speech amplification and new voicemail message don't work and it's just plain ugly. Out going speech is difficult for my clients to hear. This phone will be going back to the store as soon as I can get it packed back in its box.

Fair value for a amplified phone. Works well at mid range but tends to distort sound at higher settings on headphone and preforms somewhat better when set on speaker setting.

Something made for mostly older people should have instructions written for older people who arent electronic savvy. Took it back because I couldnt understand how to program the different functions.

My Aunt is in her nineties she is hard of hear.Her children live on the other side of the country.
They call regularly and her standard phone was become useless. She is more then satisfied with the audio quality of this model.

This phone has a lot of good features especially for the hearing impaired. Four stars because I am disappointed that it only holds 3 speed dialing numbers. I prefer at least 6. Except for the speed dialing I think this phone will be worth the money. I tried three other phones, and sent them back, before I found this one and I plan to keep it.

My dear mother-in-law is nearly deaf and can now talk on the phone again and hear everyone. This phone has improved her quality of life and she is so happy with the big buttons that she can see. Thanks for making us all happy with this phone. Walmart had the best prices on these phones!!

This phone had all the features I was looking for in a phone, even though I can hear perfectly. The speaker phone is great; it has caller id; volume control, tone control, and other great features. The phone allows you to increase the volume of your voice, which is great since my parents can't hear well. This phone is great whether you can hear well or not. I spent a long time looking for a great corded phone. I found it in this phone.

I first purchased this phone in June, 2011.
I ended up having a Problem with it so I contacted Clarity.
I contacted their Tech Support and they told me to return it and they would replace it.
I did and they did - No cost to me except shipping charges to send them the phone.
NO hassles!
The replacement phone took care of everything.
I use it Multiple times daily and it is the BEST Telephone I have ever owned.
I am in the Process of purchasing the same phone again for another home/location.
Overall - Exceptional telephone with many features that I like.
Great Price!!!

This is a good phone, but when it arrived, I discovered that it doesn't have a "mute" button. Honestly, what kind of speakerphone doesn't have a mute button? Otherwise, it is a good phone.

This phone has a wide range of adjustments both in tone and volume.
My last amplified phone over amplified my voice in my earpiece when I was speaking which was certainly unnecessary and also annoyingly distracting. The Clarity phone does not do that. It is easy to use. The tilted display is a nice size. Incoming audio quality varies depending on the caller's phone quality and signal strength so even with an amplified phone you may not always be able to hear the caller well. What this phone has to overcome that problem is a boost button. I don't need it often but it is great when I need it. Can you tell I really like this phone? I do and recommend it highly.
And I can't say enough about Walmart's online shopping and store pickup. I've bought many items this way and have yet to have a less than perfect experience.

The XL45 phone does everything it said it would. It is as loud as is needed and more. I wish it had more programmable buttons, but I knew that before I purchased it. I like the light that flashes when the phone rings, the large Caller ID area, and the light up number pad when you use it. It also has a feature that speaks the number you dial as you press the numbers. I don't use it because I like to dial fast, but it is nice to know it is there. Overall, a great amplified voice phone. Also, Walmart had the best price, by far. I would recommend them.
