I use the griddle on my outdoor gas grille at low temperature. Meat & fish are cooked evenly and flavorful. Cleanup is very easy, just put it under running faucet and use a soft brush to clean it. Wonder why I never thought of getting a cast iron griddle before.

We got this to revitalize our gas grill. The burners don't heat evenly, so we use this to spread out the heat and keep it from scorching our food. We also found that it works wonders on our gas stove top. This is well made and durable.

I own a Lodge square grill pan and I love it. So I decided to get this one because it was bigger and I had to cook for a much larger crowd at our family gathering. I'll tell you this, THIS GRILL ROCKS!!!
I made bacon on the flat side for breakfast and at lunch time, grilled the burgers, hot dogs and steaks on the grill side.
Lodge Logic makes the best products. I highly recommend their cast iron grill pans to all my friends and family. Everyone loves how great my steaks and burgers turn out on this pan. It's awesome!

from all the reviews i thought things would just slide off it but it seems that is not one hundred percent the case and that some sticking does occur. I have learned to put some vegetable oil before grilling chicken but whatever i did my fish was totally destroyed---stuck! So I'm sticking to burgers which are greasy and help the seasoning process. We are big family so the size was absolutely amazing to grill once and for all and not having to clean it after grilling the first batch so as to do the second batch. In relation to other cast iron grills we used in the past this definitely gets a thumbs up and probably hopefully in time it will earn my 5 stars instead of the 4. Happy grilling

Heats well except for middle of pan. First two uses needed to re-oil as pancakes stuck to pan. After a few uses the pan seems to work very well. Did season the pan before first use, and for the next three uses. Cook Oatmeal pancakes not buttermilk, and the oatmeal pancakes even stuck with my copper pans. Very happy with purchase, be sure to season before use and over the next several times to get the most benefit from pan.

This griddle is very easy to use and a snap to clean up. We have grilled hamburgers and chicken breasts on the grill side with excellent results. We have cooked over easy eggs on the griddle side. We use this on an electric stove, just remember to set the heat to medium or lower for the large element.

I purchased this for my husband who loves to cook! He uses it EVERYDAY now. It is sturdy, versatile and well worth the money spent. What made it even better is that we didn't spend a lot of money on it. One piece of advice is to rub a VERY SMALL AMOUNT of oil on the cast iron when not in use as that prolongs the life of cast iron.

Love it! If you rub a little vegetable oil on after every cleaning it never sticks. If you go to the lodge web site there are videos on how to clean and care for the griddle. Would definetly recommend this product.

Everyone should have a griddle in their kitchen. The Double Play covers all possibilities, working on two burners…grilling on one side and making tasty pancakes, biscuits and bacon on the other. Good to go on indoor and outdoor cooking equipment.

cannot give a review because the product in question was broken up on arrival.. so i returned it to walmart an decided against ordering another..if it had been packaged in the right way, i dont believe that a piece would have broken off since it was cast iron..thats just my opinion.....

wonderful,heavy duty cast iron pan w even allover heat,i leave mine on the stove all the time however, i had to switch sides of the stove as the side where the oven heat comes out creates alil moisture and rusts the pan,otherwise cant wait to get more lodge cookware

I had the opportunity to use this grill/griddle while on vacation and knew I had to have one for my own home. We grill A LOT and sometimes, living in Wisconsin, the weather doesn't always cooperate. Now I can grill on my stove top!
Remember to order it online and pick it up at the store. The in-store price is $10.00 more than the online price and the store will not honor the online price. Ridiculous!

Fantastic! Seasoned and ready to go right out of the box. We prefer corn oil for seasoning and non-stick use. The metal is about 1/4 inch thick. It heats evenly and stays hot. Perfect for pancakes, sandwiches, and whatever. Almost as slick as teflon. We leave ours on the stove top pretty much full time. It is heavy, though. So, take that into consideration. Wouldn't have it any other way. Should last for generations!

I made a few mistakes...have to let the whole thing heat up well or parts of it are hot and only half the pancake or eggs cook. Even with a lot of olive oil the food sticks to the flat side and you wind up scrubbing and scrubbing and scrubbing. This morning I let it heat up to avoid half cooked food but when I turned around it was smoking and the season burned off on only one burner even though both burners were on at the same level of heat. Should I mention the fire alarm? I guess they figure you should know how to use it but I would have preferred more detailed instructions. It's super heavy to lift and clean, almost not even worth having to deal with. Maybe others have had better experiences but now I don't know if I should return it or try to re-season the burnt off part (it's all silver now).

For my birthday my daughter got me a NoricWare grill/griddle but after some research we returned it before I even opened it for this Lodge Pro. I am so glad we did. I grilled burgers and chicken on it as soon as I got it yesterday and couldn't be more pleased. The food was not one bit dried out, so very good. My husband said it was the best burger he has eaten and my kids loved the chicken grilled sandwiches and that is saying a lot coming from my son because he has tried chicken sandwiches from every fast food place out there and he likes mine the best!! I let the grill preheat for 5 min. on low/medium heat before cooking. And the clean-up? After grilling it did look a bit scary to clean but while the grill was hot I poured hot water on it while it was still on the stove top and let it sit. Then when I went to clean it it cleaned out great with just a rag!! Heavy? YES!! My son and husband has to lift it for me to the sink and back to stove but other than that it is the best. And you know cast iron will last a lifetime. Planning to try some pancakes this morning on the griddle side. Don't hesitate, go and buy, this is the one people!
