Mucinex Mucinex DM MAX Strength, 28 ct
Find relief from chest congestion caused by mucus accumulation with the Mucinex DM Extended Release Bilayer Tablet. These maximum strength Mucinex DM tablets breaks up mucus and thins and loosens it. It also quiets wet and dry coughs. This medicine is specially formulated in a bi-layer tablet. It has an immediate release layer that goes to work fast while the extended release layer continues to work for 12 hours. These chest congestion tablets are available in a pack of 28.

This product works well. I take this Maximum strength Mucinex DM in the evening, but prefer the regular strength Mucinex during the day. At the end of the day, Mucinex works very well. This is a pricier option than some, but worth the investment for a good night's sleep.

Puts an end to that lingering cough

My family just got through flu season and it always seems like there's a lingering cough that lasts for 2 weeks. I made everyone take Mucinex and it helped accelerate the recovery to just a couple of days. It really does help the coughs become more productive and clears out all the gross mucus.

Mucinex DM Max Strength helped me get through my miserable cold and to minimize the amount of mucus in my throat and lungs. Though my cough lasted about 2 weeks I was able to get through my cold symptoms faster than my husband who didn't take any meds. I was taking the max strength at night and the regular strength during the day and it did not make me drowsy.

This product really does work. I was suffering from a horrible sinus infection and towards the tail end of being ill I was constantly coughing. I took one tablet after dinner and woke up with a much more productive cough that cleared my chest congestion. I liked that the tablet had a slow release and I only needed to take one pill every 12 hours. I took one more pill the next day and found I had really reduced the congestion in my chest. I would recommend this strength if you are really having severe chest congestion or have a nagging cough that just won’t go away.

Didn't last the entire 12 hours

When first taking this medicine I was able to get rid of my cough for about the first 2 hours, but after that, it wasn't that effective. So I would say works great for the initial 2 hours but it's not extended relief. But since it was suppose to last for 12 hours I didn't feel like I could take additional medication til after the 12 hours had passed. Also I was hoping to get rid of my sinus headache, but this is strictly for a cough no other cold symptons.

Long lasting relief

When I finally caught the bug that has been slowly working its way around our office, I tried these. Though I miss the feeling of taking a liquid "cough syrup" and the pills are pretty big (if you have a hard time with an asprin, these are a bit bigger and might annoy you), I really liked the long-lasting relief. You only need to take one every 12 hours. This box is essentally a two-week supply if your cold lasted that long. I think it's a little on the higher-priced side, but worth it if makes live a bit more bearable.
Pros: long-lasting, cleared up congestion

Congestion Relief!

I suffer from many indoor allergies, and find myself constantly congested, or have trouble falling asleep because my breathing is impaired. I decided to try taking the product about an hour before heading to bed to see if it would make a difference in my sleeping pattern and found that I was able to sleep through the night. I wouldn't take it every night to help sleeping, but with allergy season rolling around, I'll be sure to keep more on hand to help get me through the day.

I'm not a pill popper BUT.. when you need relief from that congestion .. this is a very fast and effective medicine. I was able to get a good night sleep and noticed a difference after taking this medicine.

Mucinex DM Max quickly broke up the mucus/chest congestion that I was having at night and in the mornings. It breaks it up so you can get it out and feel better. My husband had been sick also and was coughing a lot and was feeling much better shortly after taking Mucinex DM Max. It broke up the mucus and once he got that out his cough calmed down quite a bit as well.

I took this medicine after experiencing post nasal drip. I needed something to knock out my symptoms before I headed to Vegas! So I took Mucinex and it did wonders. I ended up only taking 3 tabs over a 24 hour period & I was good to go. I highly recommend this to folks with upper respiratory problems.

I didn't think this helped my cough/cold symptoms at all. My husband however felt much better after taking a second dose after 12 hours. I do like that it is portable, taking liquid cough medicine in your purse is a gamble.

Mucinex is a great product for my coughs and colds. It loosens up the constriction in my chest and it doesn't hurt when I cough. This is the maximum strength version so you can take just one of these for 12 hours. Sometimes I only need 1 regular strength tablet but for the times when I would need to take 2, 1 tablet of the Maximum strength version is a better buy.

I have had a nasty cough going on for over 4 weeks now and when I was asked to review this item for the medicine buyer here at Walmart.com I was thrilled because a lot of people told me it worked. It does! I have been using it for the past 4 days and my cough is almost gone. Not totally but 95% gone. Its easy to take since it's pill form and it lasts for 12 hrs which is great because you don't have to take medicine all throughout the day. It is a bit pricey but it's worth it in my opinion because it does what it claims to do.
