This is such a gift from me to me!! The good news is: I became a grandma for the first time this past June.....it's very important that my floors be MORE than clean for the holiday season for this little guy to crawl on. The bad news is: I fell while skiing last winter and my leg has gone from bad to horrible....the thought of scrubbing floors or even using and mop and bucket is not a possibility for me. This little beauty has changed everything........I go over the floors with a quick battery-run vac.........then heat up the steam cleaner (in 30 seconds). It's not a fast process......slow and steady wins the race.....but it's so easy.....just keep moving and turn on a good TV/radio show and in no time, you are done!.....STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

I bought this Bissel after 2 Shark vac-n-steams died on me. I thought Bissel was a good name.. Good product. My first use, it left the floors a little damp, but I was ok with this as long as it was working. My second and third time using it, I noticed less and less steam. Now more steam comes out from the top, than the bottom. I detached the mop portion and the steam came out beautifully. Something in the design is flawed with the swivel head. I'll be getting my replacement, thank God I got the warranty! I just wished that I wouldn't have let the 90 days pass so I could have returned the whole thing.

I bought this model steam mop on the advice of a clean-freak friend. Not so much for the sanitization but for the ease of cleaning my very light-colored linoleum. I washed my floors with regular mop and bucket 3 days before it arrived. I broke it out and used the steam mop the minute it arrived...I took one swipe across my floor...and was smitten. I need to get used to steam, I was holding the trigger down constantly and the pad got too wet. So just don't use a steady steam....The washable head was disgustingly dirty when I was done. But my floor looked fantastic. No more mop and bucket for me.

Had high hopes as my neighbor had this same steam mop and loves it. Mine, however, leaked very badly. I replaced it w/a Bissell Lift Off steam mop & I LOVE the new one. No leaks, great steam!

I've had mine for about 13 years and LOVE it! I just bought it for my daughter because I was tired of watching her kill herself with the Shark one (which you have to push down on the handle to get the steam out)

This is my second Bissell Steam Mop Deluxe. It was said to be the best on the market. My sister bought one & told me about it,so I bought one. After 2 yrs. it started leaking like a sieve. I had followed all instructions from the first time I used it. I went into the Bissell website & I saw others that had the same problem as me.Bissell wrote me back & told me they were sorry. I had the pads from that unit & loved it for the 1st 2 years. it worked great,no streaks so I thought I would look for it again on the internet at a lower price. Walmart had it on line site to store. I ordered it & picked it up,no S&H at the store. I put the new one together & will be using it in the next week. A good product from the name,Bissell should last longer than 2 yrs. Site to store is a good concept but needs fine tuning. Thank you for listening.

I like this little machine. It has a tank for cleaning solution that helps clean my kitchen floor. I have 4 little kids, 3 dogs and a husband that always forgets to wipe his shoes before coming in the house. The foor needs to be washed daily and thouroughly. I had a Hann steamer and unless your floor was spotless to begin with, it was no help. This does clean the floor, but you do have to go over and over the stubbron spots. It does leave my floor streaky, so I have to go over it again with a clean cloth and clear water. Also, I have yet to find the replacement cleaning solution, even from Walmart stores. That is why I only gave it four stars.

The mop works well. One tanks of water is enough for two rooms. However the steam is just warm, not hot. Also the instructions are not very clear about how to start. You have to hold the trigger for a minute or so before you can get steam. It was not in the instruction. I had to call to get it work for the first time and their first representive did not know that either.

Maybe they updated the packaging, but my instructions were very clear. In addition, there was a neon green instruction sticker on the filter which one can't miss.

I use this on our tile floor in both bathrooms & the kitchen/dining area. It's like mopping the floor, but no bucket! Some people were concerned with the water on the floor, but that's what it is supposed to do. You let it sit for 10 minutes or so until it dries and done. I don't think that part is any different than if you were to mop your floor. I love it! The kids make a mess, I sweep the floor & then steam mop it at least once a week. There were 2 cloths for the mop head & they are washable.

I've had my Bissell for close to 2 years now. I thought it had died on me, so I went and purchased a Shark Pro Lite. It doesn't even begin to compare! The Bissell has alot more steam output, reaches deeper into crevices (I have tile floors), has a larger water container (which means less trips to the sink during mopping to refill), and has a built in filter so it's safe to use tap water. The one tip I can give Bissell users, because there seems to be a common problem of too much water on the floors, is to only depress the steam button intermittently. This also prolongs the amount of area the water container will cover.
Thankfully after using the Shark one time I called Bissell customer service and they informed me that my mop was still under warranty! That's another plus, the Bissell has a 2 yr warranty and the Shark only a year. I can't wait to get my new Bissell in hand!

My mom and I decided to go in together on a steamer. I had borrowed one of the 'popular' brand of steam mops from a friend just to try it out...I had never used one before and was anxious to see how it would perform on my tile/hardwood/vinyl floors. It did a great job...but I also wanted to Tbe able to steam my area rug too and that particular mop did not have the carpet glider. So we decided on this model. I like Bissell products...I have the red Bissell lift-off vacuum and it's about 7 yrs old and still works! This steamer was simple to put together. I filled the tank with water and plugged it up. It does make a knocking sound when you first use it...that's due to the water filter filling up for the first time#it says this in the manual#. What I didn't like is the only time this machine produces steam is when you hold down the trigger. And it wasn't a whole lot of steam either. It would be better if the machine produced constant steam and the trigger feature would be an extra boost of steam. Holding the trigger down for steam made the carpet/tile/vinyl very damp. When my mom tried out this machine she didn't like it either...she used it on her vinyl floor in the kitchen and it took the shine off the floor making it look dull. Bissell needs to go back to the drawing board with this one...we felt it was a total flop and it will be going back to the store.

It was heavy and hard to handle and awkward to move around corners etc. I returned it after one use. I spent more money and purchased the Shark lift away. Much lighter and easier to move around, plus it also has the removable lift away steam pocket.

I need to take my steam mop back. When I received the steamer it looked as if the box had been retaped. When I opened the box the machine did not match the one in the box. The pads were missing. I tried to turn the machine on and all it did was make this clicking sound and something smelt like it was burning. I think I may have gotten one that someone returned. Now I have to go through the trouble and take it back. I will not order another one.

I had one previously that had went out after one 1yr. I had purchased a Haan which I took back asap because it did nothing. I went back and purchased another Bissell with a warranty, because I really liked the steam and what it does as far as cleaning. I would recommend it to anyone. Now my brother and cousin owns one and can't live without it....Great product and best price is with Walmart.
