Purchased this to replace my old shuffle and returned it a few days after. The size is great and thats it. The controls are on the head phones, which I knew when I purchased it. But I did not realize I could not use Ipod speakers or any other head phones. The ear buds would fall out of my ears with the little extra weight from the controls. If you need a new ipod wait a while there is a new shuffle coming with the controls on the shuffle it self.

Apple made a big mistake moving all the controls from the body of the shuffle to the headphone cable. The apple headphones included with the device are uncomfortable for many users and are the only means of controlling the volume and track play. Additionally, the controls are not water-resistant, thus using the device while working out is problematic. The size and capacity are great, but the design flaw makes this generation much less desirable than its predecessor.
