What I expected to get

Its a small microwave - I knew that when I bought it. What I like is that it cooks just like my home microwave plugged into the wall or clipped direct to my battery. I use it on my boat and in my truck. The car power outlet is about twice as slow, but heck - I can wait 8 minutes when I am out in my truck for a hot lunch. You know how sick I was of cold lunches?

A bit disappointing

It's supposed to run on a regular AC outlet, and it works but slowly, taking twice as long to heat something up as a normal microwave. On the DC supplies, it runs painfully slow. I mean the better part of a half hour to heat up leftovers. On the plus side, it's small enough to fit on the side of my truck where I need it. It's expensive, they need to improve it's performance, then it will get high marks and be worth the money.

don't buy!

We found this to be so incredibly slow to cook--even when plugged in to a regular outlet. It takes forever to heat anything! While it's super sturdy and easy to carry, I believe for a little bit more money there is a German manufactured portable microwave which works better. Trying to save the difference of $70 is not worth it. We are returning this product and are disappointed!

Review 4 for WaveBox Portable Microwave Oven, Cobalt

much too small

This portable microwave had very little interior capacity. You can only get a very small plate inside or very low objects i.e. a coffee mug. It took 8 minutes to make 10 ounces of cold milk, hot. I did not find this product to meet my expectations. Even if I were to go camping, I could cook/heat up things much quicker on a little BBQ.
