I absolutely LOVE this bear and snuggly blanket. I am due any day now and keep it playing on my tummy...I am sure my baby will love it also but it is very calming to me! The bear and blanket are so soft and comforting, and the lullibies, other sounds available, and option to record your own voice, all played at whatever volume you choose, are excellent. It's sleepy eyes are adorable. It is the perfect texture and size for babies to hold and so comfortable I sleep with it all night. The five minute playing with motion sensor reactivation is wonderful so the battery does not wear out too fast yet movement will activate the sounds again. Overall, excellent purchase for the price!

This Prince Lionheart Bear is absolutely the most adorable little bear clutching his blankie with sleepy half-closed eyes! Having been so cute when I opened him, he endeared himself to me immediately. So much so that when I found the heartbeat/music mechanism was defective I still wanted to keep him!! I called the company and they instructed me on how to file a warranty claim, so hopefully I'll be getting a new mechanism soon. This is the reason I rated Durability and Meets Expectations catagories lower.
I was also expecting the bear to be larger for the price, but he's the perfect size for baby to cuddle. The blanket he holds is a brushed fabric on one side and satin on the other making it a good piece for satisfying a baby's tactile senses.
In a nut shell, if you want a cute bear that can soothe your baby to sleep (with a properly functioning heartbeat mechansim) and you don't mind the price, get it. I can't say this bear is a great value, though, because of the price. But, he really is adorable!

I purchased this item as a gift. Having had a heartbeat bear for my babies when they were born, I feel this is a perfect gift for any new Mom to be. I would also like to add that the one I used 30 years ago, my first born daughter uses now for her baby. They work great! I marked everyday use, cause that is what I did years ago.
