Very easy to use. Like the large screen, it has a very clear picture. I would like to have had the web. cam. Sound is just a little low but for the price is a great deal. I work on a Dell at work and it almost always goes down. At home have a compac that has been trouble from the 1st day I bought it. This laptop is better than my dell at work and my compac at home. I would recommend to a friend or family.

My mom has been needing a computer so I saved tip money and was able to get this one. Granted, it isn't the best quality out there, but it is good for what it is needed for. Just for my mom to be able to get on the internet pretty much. It is a good computer for someone who wants to just use a program like MS Office or just the internet. There is unfortunately no webcam, but there is built in capacity for wireless internet if you have it or go to a place with wi fi.

Seems people dont know anything. I have had this for week and seems to be great, I even put another 512mb Ram with 2Gigs and little more faster but needs least 3 for win7 32bit but If you want to go farther you have to go with 64bit Win 7 to get the max 8gigs, What I have seen on net to upgrade processer to a higher one is fairly easy to do .
I like this product and have had Toshibas before and great deal for some better then nettop.
So if take it what its worth well worth the price.

We weren't kidding ourselves that this was a high-end unit. That said, my daughter has been thrilled with the ability of it to do the things she needs it to do. She's going back to school and it performs perfectly for her in this task. It handles email, surfing and basic college level class software just fine. The lack of a webcam wasn't an issue for her because she has a USB unit she can use if she needs that. Long story short, the functionality and value are high for a quality affordable Toshiba laptop.

I Purchased my laptop back in February 2010. It ran really good for 9 months until it one day locked up and I turned the computer off and it would'nt power on. I then called Toshiba technical support and I think I called India on their toll free number. Needless to say the gentleman's accent was so thick and I could hardly understand him. They said that the hard drive had crashed then they said the connection to the motherboard from the hard drive could have a short and then they finally said they think that the motherboard may have failed. Anyways I have been a PC/MAC tech more than 17 years now and the only thing that made any sense was the motherboard had failed. I have sent the computer to the depot because they said there isnt a place locally that could repair it in Charlotte NC under my factory warranty. I am waiting to hear what the exact issue is. But I do feel that if it is the motherboard it should have held up better than 9 months with gentle use.

Honestly,this computer stinks.It isn't a TOTAL waste of money, but I deffinataly DO NOT recommend this product.2 gigs of RAM?Not enough to run most things without lag.The 250 gig hard drive isn't bad, but I recommend higher.The keyboard is EXCELLENT!I LOVE the keyboard, but the system speed and so is really bad.I have had this for 13 months or so now and it ran great when I first bought it.After about 1 month it slowed down HORRIBLY!And not only that, but now I have to tap to click and stuff because the click button is jammed in even though I never hit it hard.Sometimes I want to rip the keyboard out because of how slow it runs.Not only that, but I can no longer run high performance on my battery options because it WILL overheat, whether it has good airflow ,or a cooling pad or not.I run balanced and get 40 - 60 minutes on the battery life.Not only that, but I can't run my external hard drive any more because of it's cruddy USB ports.(Note:I am not blaming the computer on this, but it most likely is the computer.)I WOULD NOT recommend this to ANYONE!Want to defrag your hard drive?Well just leave the computer on while you go to work, school etc. and maybe it will be done when you get back!:D

bought this laptop 6 month ago , it was running very slow from the start, after 3 month it would not load windows anymore, I called Toshiba CS and they agreed to send me a box to ship it to them to have it repaired, apparently it needed a new hard drive and it is a problem they know about ( why not recall them all and fix it?)- if yours turns off all the time on its own you need a new hard drive, it took 10 days to get my laptop back, it was covered under warranty and free of charge but a huge inconvenience- I will not buy Toshiba again

Great machine! Loved it and for $299 I couldn't say no to it. I had a friend visiting me who saw mine and went and bought the same one for $299 at the local Wal-Mart. Unbeatable deal!

I have had this laptop for over a year now and it has never let me down! I use it every day for Internet, Email, down load pics, ect.. It cracks me up seeing other people with Laptops (other brands) that cost double to triple what I payed for my Toshiba, having nothing but problems! You will not find a better laptop for the money, Great product!

This is a very nice laptop and an exceptional value! Runs quickly and I haven't had problems with it yet. The battery life is about 2 hours. The screen is clear, and there are lots of ways to personalize it! The only things I don't like...
1. the screen does not latch shut. I have a 1 1/2 year old and I have to make sure I move it whenever I am not using it.
2. There is no little mouse pad button in the middle of the keyboard. You have to use the touch pad unless you purchase a plug in mouse for it. I expected it, but I don't like to use it because I am not good at not accidentally clicking things while moving the mouse across the screen.
Overall a great buy!

I bought this Laptop for my mother for an early x-mas preasent because her other one burnt out and of course it was a Dell. I must say she loves it and is so happy with it. It comes in so much clearer and it was so easy to hook it up and get it going online If your gonna get a laptop get a Toshiba it is worth it and very dependable.

I am very satisfied with this product. Met my needs and has room to expand software and other needs later in the future. The only bad thing was, I was under the impression it had a webcam and microphone, and was disappointed. Even the manual with it said it did, but it didn't.

I love how large the screen is. It has been able to handle everything I throw at it. Although I am not a hardcore gamer, I have played a few online games with no lag time. I do watch netflix online quite a bit and never have a problem with the processing. It is a small drawback that there is no webcam built in but that isn't something I think I ever need so it isn't an issue for me. If you skype though I would take it into consideration. The wireless internet connection can get a bit spotty, as in I have to refresh or reconnect it every so often, but I haven't figured out if that is because of my cheap router or the computer itself. The speakers are not exceptional, but I don't know of many laptops with quality speakers built in. Overall it has been a fantastic purchase and I frequently get groans of envy from my family when they found out how much less I paid than them for a comparable product. The only real issue I have run in to is the EXTREMELY short battery life. Two to three hours is the most Ive ever gotten out of it and that just isnt good enough. I don't recommend going somewhere with it where you wouldn't have access to a wall outlet or a backup battery.

I have had this laptop for about two weeks now, so far its working GREAT!!!! There are a few little things I would change about it, like give it a built in webcam and microphone...but those things are cheap these days. Other than that I wouls recommend it.
