The description is right on. It folds down to a full bed. The material is a feax suede, if you're into that kind of thing. Sitting on it is a weird angle for tall people, it feels like you might slide onto the floor. My advice, go ahead and get the metal frame one.

Came extremely fast! Only took a week to get it. WOW! This is a very nice item, we only paid $150.00 for it! I did buy a green full comforter and matching shams to put on it, so it would match our furniture! I put standard pillows into the shams as well. Looks very good, sits fairly close to the wall unlike some futons do. Easy to put to together, only took 10-15 minutes for myself and husband get it together. Only thing we noticed is that the tools that came with it. Two Allen wrenches, one wasn't the right size. Had to use one that we had around here already for that. Seems sturdy and strong, I am a plus sized person and I can sit on it without it breaking =) Very well priced though, and nice looking!

A little less than I hoped for

Firstly, the color is much lighter than the picture. It's not unattractive, but changes a bit what it will go with.
It was easy to put together and seems sturdy. However, this doesn't come with a separate cushion like more expensive futons do. The cushion is in 2 pieces and permanently attached to the frame. On mine, the halves of the cushion don't line up quite right and it makes it look cheap (I guess this is no big surprise, since it is cheap)
This could all be overlooked, but unfortunately comfort is the worst aspect. The frame is only a square of support, and it is easily felt through the cushion when sitting or lying down. I wouldn't try and use it as any kind of regular couch.
I still rated it 3 stars, because it's very inexpensive for a futon, and I didn't have big expectations for it. I only plan to use it as an occasional guest bed, so I think it will suffice for that. Still, as far as value, it's about what the price would indicate and nothing more.

It was easy to assemble and looks great. You have to use a little muscle to adjust the positioning every time you want to change it but it's not that big a deal for adults. There are legs on the back that fold out when you're ready to put it into bed position...when folded in, they can tuck into openings in the cloth to hide but it feels like the cloth will tear eventually...so we just let the legs lay outside the cloth when folded since the back is to the wall. As for comfort, it's surprisingly cushioned for the low price. Laying on either side is most comfortable, you can feel the bar a bit if laying in the middle. It looks full-size but my husband said the twin sheets went on perfectly. Overall, this was a great purchase!

I was apprehensive about this product, pictures always looks good in ads. After receiving this futon I was delighted. It was easy to put together only took about 30mins. Hardest part was getting it out of the box. It is stable and I have sat on it for long periods and slept on it for a few weeks and have had no complaints. I was very impressed so I purchased another one. Can't beat it for the price. This would be great for anyone.

I do like this futon, the color is great and it looks relly nice. It is a little smaller tham i expected, but i think that is primarily because i cant visualize dimensions that well. It definately sleeps one comfortably, two full grown adults comfortably may be a little of a stretch! I feel like I had the black one before, I have had a million futons by the way, and for some reason, it seemed bigger. Maybe I am imagining that, I dont know for sure, that is just what it feels like.
Also, the thing that REALLY REALLY makes this futon better than any other one that I have purchased especially the metal arm futon that Walmart sells, is the ease and time required for assembly. This futon can be assembed in minutes, literally minutes because it only comes in two parts, not twenty. The ease of assembling makes purchasing this futon versus another one SO worth it!

I live in a studio apartment and this futon was the right fit for my living room space. It's comfy and easy to assemble (took about 20 mins). I love that the arm rests can be folded up. Also, the lining of the futon can be taken out and machine washable.
The only concern I had with the futon was the padding is not thick enough in the middle. When I sat down, I can feel the frame. But this can be remedied by adding seat cushions or padding.
Overall, this furniture is a great addtion for small apartments or kid's room.

We recently moved to a coastal area, and in anticipation of many overnight guests, we purchased this futon. The charcoal gray is a beautiful shade, more of a medium gray. It sits well and is cute with the flip-up arms. I was very pleased with the quality for the price. I would repurchase!

Comfortable but hinges are defective

We assembled this futon in my daughters dorm room. Assembly was easy and it was more comfortable to sit in that I expected. It looked good and it was a perfect fit in the small dorm room. The back hinge on one side worked well and we we able to lay one side of the futon flat. The other half did not work well and we had difficulty getting it flat. We were able to work it into place eventually. We put it back into the upright position and left it there. Halfway home we got our first call from our daughter. She was showing off the futon to her roommates and couldn't get the back to fold down at all. The box has been destroyed and there is no returning it now. It's too bad, if it wasn't for the bad hinge it is nice little couch.

I'm been blessing with a fairly large (9'x11') dorm room at my university and was eager to get a futon to fill the extra space. I needed some seating and wanted to give my friends from home the option to come stay with me, but I was very discouraged to see the reviews on futons from many different stores. For my low price range (I'm a starving film student!), every futon I found was described as hard, uncomfortable, flimsy, and breakable. This futon is none of the above.
Unlike the other futons I found, this one has a fairly thick mattress that is slightly firm (so it'll hold up and won't get slobby in a few weeks), but still very comfortable for the price. There is no uncomfortable bar under your butt, even with the arms down. The clicking-mechanism works fabulously, and I was very drawn the the adjustable arms on this futon. They are easy to bend, yet firm enough to sit against. Set up was super easy, too. My ONE and only complaint is the way the fabric kind of scrunches together and gets loose on the seat when you put the arms up. I don't recommend this futon if you plan on sleeping on it all the time (it's just a tad bit too firm for a regular bed), but for my dorm, it work perfectly!

This futon is easy to put together, can easily fit in an suv. Only drawback is when set up for sleeping the crack in the middle where the seat meets the back is a bit uncomfortable. Can easily remedy with a foam pad or something to place in the crack for comfort.

This is a nice sturdy sofa sleeper. You can sleep on it comfortable or add a full sized mattress on top of it. I'm 6'-4" tall 290lbs and it holds good. Easy to put together and looks good. Also nice and soft. Sleep, play games or kick back and watch a movie. It's all good!
