We had a Kingsford big charcoal grill before and my husband wanted to go back to this brand. We have had a Meco before and we are really pleased with these grills. He said it was easy to put together and we have already used it once and will use it again today for Easter. We grill alot and this brand has always held up. I think we will get a cover for it though, since we get all sorts of crazy weather in the Midwest. We highly recommend. And with Walmarts free Site-To-Store shipping, we saved shipping costs of having it mailed to the house. That's a plus. Happy grilling!

this grill is very light and the metal pieces you would cook on keep falling off. Also missing piece of grill. So we return it.

Exactly as described. Easy to assemble. It's light so it can easily be transported. I purchased this one because it allows for raising and lowering the grill. I've used it three times, and since I clean the bottom wiping off excess grease each time I expect it to last for a few years.

I have had my Meco grill for over thirty years. I use it about 6 to 12 times a year. It is storied in the dry and I put sand in the bottom to help reduce burning of the steel. The grill body is about gone and has several holes burned through the walls and lid. Three years ago I was given another similar grill which I used once and then went back to this old poor condition grill. I will be getting a new Meco grill soon and hope that it is of the same quality as the old one.

This is actually the second Mecco BBQ we have owned. The other one served us well for many years. This product does what it is suppose to do! Grill over charcoal. Can be used for outdoor cooking much as a box oven would be used. All without spending a lot of money! Works for me! :-).

I had a Meco before (same style) and it was almost indestructable. I wanted one that was easy to adjust the cooking height and this is the only one I found - thanks to Walmart.com I ordered it online and received notification in 2 days that it was at the store. No freight charge, shiped site to store. This is not easy to put together but worth the effort. I used it last night and it was great.
It is not as durable as my older one but it will last a few years, so it will be ok.

I live in a area where the wind blows harder than a Washington politician and this grill works great! Heats up fast, stays hot and cook food better than the other grill I have that costs twice as much.

I have had two of this type grill for 20+ years. I particularly like the feature allowing the raising and lowering of the grill during cooking. I've re-ordered parts, and even put heavy gauge sheetmetal in the base of the grill to slow the inevitable rusting that occurs over the years. I've kept an eye out for this specific model as replacements. I've grilled steaks, pork chops, barbeque, seafood, corn-on-the-cob, and kebobs, all with great results. I would recommend this type grill to any serious charcoal cook.

I purchased one of these swinger grills in 1998 (or so) and I need to replace it. I'm not a big-time griller but have used it on occasion and a lot in the past 3 years. It has lasted a very long time. I love the fact that you can adjust the level of the grate while cooking. Very practical. I am going to purchase another one today to finally replace old faithful.
