Old-fashioned quality ingenuity. My dad had the Meco brand pit he used for many years and loved it! I purchased this pit for my son to use during his college years and will purchase two more for my other sons. Have to keep tradition of barbecuing and having fun and doing it with the Meco pit. Makes a great graduation gift for an outdoor person.

This is a great grill with plenty of cooking surface.
The left and right grill rack adjustments are very convenient for temperature control.
Able to be assembled in about an hour by any moderately skilled person.
All in all two thumbs up.

I love this grill because you can adjust the air flow better than any other grill I had. This is very important when using a charcoal grill. The other factor is that this grill lets you raise and lower the food tray. You need to be able to adjust the tempeture you are cooking at. So many grills out there that are charcoal have stationary trays and it is very hard to regulate the tempeture. I looked all around and this is a great charcoal grill for the price and functions of a charcoal grill. The only thing I would think it made it a little better if it had a heavier gauge food tray.

My husband loves this grill. We used to have the same grill with one table, he loves the two table. We also got the additional rotissorie with electric motor (great for cornish hens or other things to rotissorate). He cooks all year long, sun, rain. or snow! I reccommend this product to anyone who loves to cook over charcoal!

This is a good grill. I read the other reviews and I bought this for my husband because it has the adjustable grill, it's hard to find grills like this. It would be nice if it had something to catch the ashes and I imagine the bottom will wear pretty quickly because of this. There's a bunch of pieces in the box and the directions are pretty complicated. It took a couple of hours for us to put it together. But the grilled taste is even different because you can change the height of it. So overall I'd say it's a good grill for the price.

I wanted to go back to charcoal after using a gas grill for several years. I just wanted a good simple grill that had good ventilation control. The new chimney charcoal starters make it easy to use charcoal these days (My dislike of starter fluids and their effect on the taste of the food was one of the reasons I had moved to a gas grill). The side shelves fold down and I found a smoker cover for $10 at Home Depot that fits perfect.
This grill works great. It's good at preventing flare-ups so you don't have to babysit it like some grills, even on windy days. The only thing that I think is not as good as the old design is the grill/heat adjustments. The older design moved the coals up/down, to/from the grill. This unit adjusts the grill up/down instead but at least there is an adjustment unlike some other grills.
Another feature I like is the hinged lid design which I like much better than the detached Weber lid design. The ash tray is a nice addition making it very easy to empty the ashes and also shields some of the heat from the bottom.
Overall this is a great grill that is inexpensive and Made In USA.

Best grill I have ever owned. Had one previously for years and sold it in a garage sale. I purchased a Weber and was not really happy with it - grill was stationary. With a Meco,
the grill has three different grilling heights. Buy a Meco - you will be happy! Easy to assemble. Really attractive! Hated to get it dirty - hehe.

I looked at many grills before deciding on this one. My first choice was a Weber, but chose this instead because of the hinged top, side shelves and price. It is well made, assembly wasn't too difficult. One thing I found, cooks best with the lid open.

Returning to charcoal grilling so giving this a try because of the low price. Instructions for assembly are not very detailed. Had to figure a lot out on my own. Went together OK though and like how it works. nice controls for venting, and grill height adjustment. Pretty well built.

A great grill!! The side tables are sturdy if put together correctly. The size is just right for two or even a group. The way the charcoal is distributed the grill cooks evenly and doesn't blow through charcoal like most charcoal grills do. Being able to move the grate to low, med or high heat is just a huge added bonus. This grill is better than I expected and I would recommend to anyone.

This is my third or fourth Meco Swinger. I think they cook WAY better than gas. This time I bought a grill cover. Maybe this will be my last one.
Assembly was more difficult than anticipated, but worth the effort. The side trays come in handy for tools and pans. Free delivery to local WalMart was very convenient.

I purchased this Grill about a month ago. After opening the grill box, I discovered the bottom bowl was dented. I returned the item to Walmart and ordered another one. The 2nd one had a dented hood. I called the manufacturer and they said they would send me out a new hood right away. After using the grill it meets all my expectations. It's the only one I could find that was made descent. The rest were all really thin material, and I figured they would not last long. I really like this grill for the ability to close all the vents when done grilling to save charcoal. I recommend this grill over the cheap, thin material ones. Make sure you read the instructions while putting it together. Very important steps! You will be pleased with your purchase.

Perfect for want I wanted and price. This grill retails for almost $130 on other sites. All pieces and nuts and bolts were there. I had a grill similar to this years ago and would still have it, if it wasn't taken by punks. Love the 3 level settings for searing or warming or semi smoking. It will last years if taken care of properly. Lump Charcoal is the only way to grill!!!
