Oster Oster 3-Cup Mini Chopper

I bought this for the price and due to the fact that I don't chop that much. I like to make homemade pico, but get tired of the dicing. This did a great job of doing the chopping for me. If you're looking for something fancier, then open up your wallet!

Only chops at the bottom , so not really 3 cups, more like 1/2 cup. Also the bowl and lid melted on the top rack of my dishwasher even though it says dishwasher safe.

Before purchasing this chopper I dreaded making salads that required chopping veggies etc. as I had to use my bigger, bulkier processor that was such a hassle to get out of the storage space it had in the cabinet. This morning I made potato salad and had to chop carrots and it was such a breeze. It works great and is small enough to always be convenient for use. I used to own a diner and would highly recommend this as it works extremely well!

I received this little chopper for a wedding present. I use it on a regular basis and end up getting frustrated at it almost every time! There is Not alot of power so it does not chop the food very well and large chunks get stuck to the sides and under the blades. Also the High power button has not worked since day one. I may have just gotten a 'lemon' but I would spend a little more money and get a better chopper!

This was all that I thought it would be. I gave it as a gift to my children for Christmas and they all loved it and were thrilled to get it. I owned one just like it and really liked it so I decided to get one for each of my kids. It was a great decision.

I bought this to replace my Tupperware chopper that finally broke. The motor on this is powerful and will definitely chop whatever you put into it. The problem is that even though the cup holds 3-cups, because of the location of the blade you can put very little in it for things to be evenly chopped. I filled it just half-way with small pieces of onions, and the bottom of the cup was practically pureed while there were still large chunks on the top. There is no way to mix it around without stopping, taking the container off, and shaking it. Even then, not so good.
If you only want this to chop small amounts of small things like garlic, etc., it works great. To chop even a half of an onion; however, was a total pain. I'm definitely returning this.

This is a piece of junk. Don't waste your money....if it looks too good to be true, it generally is! The price was great and I thought, why not...it's $20 and I thought at the time I didn't need something bigger. Come to find out after using it....it does not chop well, takes forever and it either over chops or under chops. then if something gets in the way of the blade it just stops for no reason. Shop around, get something bigger and better quality.

I bought this one year for Christmas. I had trouble with it from day one. It never would chop more than a quarter of an onion or a T of nuts at a time. It kept getting worse and worse until it finally would not chop anything!! I would not suggest this product to anyone. I thougt Oster brand was a good brand. I guess I found out wrong. I will never buy another Oster product.

I bought this little guy a few years ago for handling small jobs, and it lives up to that task. Technically it says 3-cup, but you can't put much in at a time. If you fill it above the top of the black middle piece, expect to have to stop it, take off the top, push down/stir your items, and start again. Aside from that little fluke, it really does a great job.

I purchased this because my big processor is too much trouble to get out for small jobs (it is difficult to "put together") - and my smaller unit "died" a couple of years ago. I was disappointed in this unit (I have an Oster blender that is probably 25 years old and still going strong).
As a senior - and a caregiver for a client with severe rheumatoid arthritis I'm a bit more concerned with ease of use than perhaps some are. I found it difficult to "assemble" and lock onto the base - the top was also difficult to lock on to the cup - it was very slippery - my client would not be able to use it (and she was considering purchasing it). I had an old Black and Decker food processor that I loved - but the replacement that I was given is also difficult to assemble - I wish ALL manufacturers would realize that there are a lot of seniors and people with physical problems that have problems assembling some of these "time-savers". I had HOPED that this little unit would be a good one for me - and for my client, but neither is true. I used it to chop some apples and nuts for a cake - and it did all right at chopping - as long as the pieces were very small. I won't return it, but would not recommend it either. I am very disappointed in this unit.

Bought this today and it's going back tomorrow. I tried chopping cabbage. It says 3 cups, but I could only do about 3/4 cup at a time. It chopped only at the bottom. Everything on top stayed in chunks. It may only be $20 but it's not worth that much. Also it is supposed to completely closed and turned so it hits the on button for safety. This one will turn on no matter how the bowl is on

I originally bought this to puree my own baby food in small batches. It has held up wonderfully through two years and two babies and I use it on at least a weekly basis. Now that my kids are older I will be moving up to a larger food processor, but will still use this for small things. If you are on a budget or only need a small food chopper, this is perfect.
