I purchase almost exclusively wooden toys. No plastic, and no batteries. I bought another one that Walmart was keeping online and it was awful (see they have pulled it) This ship deserves the award. It is well constructed, good and solid and above all is easy to play with (something the competitor items I found were not) Ladders are elasticated so stay in place and are taught. Sails and masts are sturdy and also well mounted and stay in place. The back opens for storage! My four year old LOVES it. The favorite part is the cannon that shoots cannon balls!
