Great Machine For The Money,
01/16/2010
Opened the box plugged it in .And after a couple hours of burning recovery disc, and updating windows I was in business. The new windows 7 is a little weird at first. But it runs so fast, and starts like lightening. Speakers work ok and loud for what they are . If you are thinking about a video card the motherboard does have an AGP slot and 1 pc slot . Im totally pleased with this machines performance. If your looking for a machine thats fast for the money you cant beat it.buy it enjoy it .its that simple.

nice machine for the price,
02/04/2010
I bought this machine last weekend. At the same time I ordered an ultra lsp 650 power supply and an evga 9500gt graphics card. Performs as well as my alienware now LOL. Tips on the psu; If you use the one I did you will only have an inch between it and your optical drive, so plug the drive up Before mounting the psu. The extra psu cables will tuck neatly into the empty drive bay under the dvd burner. The 9500 gt fired right on up too, just make sure to disable the onboard video through the bios before you shutdown to install the parts. Took about 15 mins to put the psu and card in. May want to download the latest drivers for your vid card before installing too. so in less than a half hour total and for under $600 I have another descent machine that runs wow at it's highest settings with ease. I also love the fact that this machine is whisper quiet, nice change from the alienware windtunnel.

A very easy process,
12/13/2009
We had our old computer 9 years so we were really in need of a new computer, with all our kids grown we were a bit nervous about doing this, but we gave this a shot off the reviews we had read. It is the best thing we ever did. Now when the kids come home they don't carry their laptops, they actually race to the new computer, fast internet, very easy install we actually did it ourself, didn't need the adult kids. This was a perfect choice for us with a great price.

Happy with Purchase,
01/03/2010
I bought this computer to replace one I built myself. I don't know it all but I know a little. I am happy so far with this computer. I like win7 and the specs for the money caught my eye. 6gigs of ram & 750gig hard drive plus dual core 64 bit microprocessor at this price can't be beat! I had this system up and online with my cable modem in about 10 mins. I've had no problem with my other equiptment, this includes a dinosaur HP scanner and 1st gen creativelab webcam. Everthing I connected works great! I would recommend anyone who wants an above standard computer on a budget to buy this one, It'll do most any thing you want. It's a great base for upgrading for all you gamers out there! As for me I just surf the web, listen to music, and watch movies.
Great value but have still been unable to connect to the internet. Something about the windows browser not being able to open. I've talked to so many techs and now will have to pay somebody to get it up and running. Not being computer smart, I still have no idea what error code 8024001F is. But it sure looks good sitting on my desk.

Great Value,

I purchased this unit to replace a 1.8 Mhz Pentium 4. I was looking at refurbished computers to save money, but this one offered much more for the price and came with Windows 7. All the other units were Vista. It is working flawlessly. Great price and good performance.

eMachine packs a lot of punch,
11/15/2009
Nowhere can you find better value than this computer. I don't want to know how those guys at eMachine(Gateway/Acer) do it but I thank you for this excellent product. I definitely saved a lot of dough for this one.
I was able to re-use the old DDR2 RAM from my old eMachine XP machine to this one and Voila! I have 8 GB of RAM.
Kudos to Microsoft for Windows 7. Finally, they got this one right. Running 64 bit at 6 GB RAM and Dual Core is blazing fast. It was boosted more (unnecessarily but I love it) when I upgraded to 8 GB RAM. Web pages load as fast as you can click your mouse.
Even my 3d Modelling programs who are notorious for memory gluttony are happy. Rendering models at 64 bit? Priceless.
