Just heard about Farscape and started watching the DVD. It's starts kinda slow but after the 1st couple episodes it really picks up. If you like shows like StarGate SG1, Atlantis and good scifi you'll love Farscape. It even has some of the same cast members as SG1.
Nice to see each DVD has 22 episodes and not like some other sci-fi show that only have 12 episodes per season.

Excellent Value for an OUTSTANDING Product

"Farscape: The Complete Season One" is an excellent purchase for the asking price ($13.00). I bought this in my local Walmart here in Colorado last weekend, and was disappointed to see that all local Walmart stores in my area had pulled the product from display. I do NOT know why this happened, and hope they re-stock this series, but can say that I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
I didn't watch the series when it was on cable, and picked up the season one set to give it a spin. This is definitely Space Opera.
While the series isn't entirely "hard" science fiction (science oriented), nor entirely "soft" science fiction (fantasy oriented), the series strikes a nice balance between the two and develops the characters very nicely (and surprisingly with character flaws), along with multiple nicely crafted subplots.
Definitely pick this up for more family-friendly sci-fi entertainment...well...as much as can be expected.

Quite possibly the best Sci-fi show ever on television. The story and effects are incredible, a great mix of characters and backgrounds creates an enthralling tale that keeps you entertained. This re-release is priced well below the original price, and is a great value
