Good value, but a bit frustrating

I just finished putting this set together. Like many younger couples expecting their first child, we wanted more economical furniture than what we were finding at the big 'Babies' store. This set fit the bill, and we decided to buy it after seeing it at the store fully assembled. But beware, like most things in life, you get what you pay for. What you're saving in money, you will make up for in time, some frustration, and perhaps a layer of skin or two putting this together. The furniture, once together, is solid. However, I found myself having to correct some mis-aligned pilot holes, scrape bits of veneer off to give bolts enough room to grab, and clean out valleys and bolt channels where the wood was not cleared away. I also highly recommend you use your own screwdriver and allen wrench set as the chintzy included tools will aggravate you and hurt your hands. Some notes about the set - while everything is solid once together, the dresser and changing table shelves are the thin particle board type with a brace running down the middle. The dresser back is also the same material. This should get us through the first few years no problem, but this is not quality furniture that he or she will be taking to college in 18 years. On the plus side, the crib, which of course is the most important piece, is rock solid with no corners cut. The espresso color is very attractive. Goes perfectly with our Storckcraft espresso glider. As a value oriented product, I'd recommend the set.

Have owned it for almost two years, my daughter still uses it. Every piece is intact, has held up very well. Saw the exact same set with babies r us for more than twice the price. Im currently pregnant and plan on buying a second set since I'd like for their rooms to match.

Overall, this set is a great value for the price. None of the items were scratched or damaged at all. However, we did have our item shipped to the store to avoid it being handled by UPS/FedEx. The Espresso color does indeed have a hint of red. We purchased a Glider (another brand) in espresso and it is much more brown than this set. There were no missing pieces or anything. Directions were fairly easy and it comes with all tools needed for assembly. I will say that the dresser was, by far, the most difficult piece to assemble because MOST of the holes and slots are misaligned making assembly seriously frustrating. But other than that everything went smoothly. My husband and I (at 36 weeks pregnant) were able to assemble all the pieces within a few hours. It is very sturdy and very pretty, does not look or feel cheap.

We got this set as a gift for our first baby. The price is great and furniture is really good quality for
the price. The issue we have with this is there are several large safety stickers applied directly to the wood.
it is almost impossible to remove stickers with out damaging the surface.
Now there are large sticky glue spots where we struggled to remove the stickers.
On the top of the dresser the sticker actually pulled some of the surface off.
We did not want to dis assemble all the pieces and return because that would just be too much work.
my suggestion to the manufacture you really need to use a better sticker or just attach the disclaimers with string
or something. Its very dissapointing to get furniture for your first baby just to have it ruined right out of the box.

Beautiful and affordable

This is a beautiful and affordable set of baby furniture. Everythng went together well and
took about 2 plus hours to assemble. Seems to be pretty sturdy.
We have one gripe. One of the rails to the changing table is cracked. I will call BSF today
about sending a replacement piece (I will update later on the status of the replacement part).
Overall for the money a great set.

I loved the way this looked on people's pictures they posted so I had to have it. When we received it we realized that the changing table had missing parts to it. We called the company that night to try and get the parts. They have a answering service and all they do is relay the message and give you the manufatures telephone number. When you call the other number no one ever answers. Finally we left our emial address on the message and they emailed us a form to order new parts the only problem is the email address they gave us to write them back did not work. Almost a month later of doing this back and forth we finally just too the entire set apart and took it back to Walmart. I am glad Walmart is at least good with returns. Overall if all the parts had been there it would of been a nice set. I ordered another set on here made by another company yesterday so we will see how that goes.

Dresser Was a pain!

Once togather, everything looks great. When we went to put the drawers in, they wouldn't fit. Apparently you can not tighten the bolts all the way. As soon as we loosened them, the drawers went right in. One drawer has some minor blemishes, and can't remove the warning stickers without taking paint off.
Changing table and crib went togather perfectly!

Nice Set, Hard to put together

I was a little worried about buying this set because I was afraid it was going to look "cheap". Also, I had read some of the other reviews saying that the product was damaged when it was received. I opted for the site to store pickup and it came in about 4 days. The boxes are huge. There was no way I would have been able to carry them, especially being 8months along. My husband put the crib together in about 10 minutes and it looks great. No scratches or dents anywhere. The changing table was also a breeze to assemble. It is sturdy and looks beautiful with the crib. I would recommend that you get a separate changing pad. The pad included 1)doesn't fit on the table, it hangs off the sides so it slides all around 2) it is way to thin.
The dresser was not so easy to assemble. The brackets for the inside corners of the drawers are magnetized, so are the screws. This causes the screw to stick to the side of the bracket and not go through the correct hole. My poor husband worked on these brackets for a good hour before he finally got them all in. Once the drawers were put together he attempted to attach the handles. The holes did not match up so he ultimately had to bend the screw to get it to work.
Overall the set looks great and went together well. The dresser was a pain to assemble but it looks great once it is finished. Just don't be surprised if you run into a few bumps in the assembly process. My last complaint is that you cant just peel the stickers off. They either wont come off at all or they take the paint with them. Luckily, it happened in a place I will be able to cover so it wont be as noticeable.

For one this combo looks very nice but there are somethings about it first off the directions come in both spanish and english..thanx but the english version for the crib stopped half way and broke out in spanish so you had to look at the pictures the rest of the way. Some of the peices I think there was measurement issues where one peice was a little longer or shorter so the fit wasn't snug enough and the dresser has a gap in between the frist and second drawer which is not suppose to be there like i said a mesurement issue. And it took hubby and I (23 wks preggo) about four hours to put together. Very nice couple times and I am actually pretty happy with everything despite some glitches...ohhh and the stickers on the furniture be careful because on sticker pulled the paint off oh small area on the nightstand

Dresser (clothing organizer) takes a lot of time to assemble, but once one of the drawer is done, doing the rest is easy. Dresser is very robust and spacious. changing table and crib are easy to assemble. Assemble this product when you have a lot of time and energy. We have been using it everyday for last 4 months now, and are very satisfied with it.

The color and the design are exactly what we wanted. The pieces are sturdy and will last several years I'm sure. The reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is because assembly was a bit frustrating as some of the holes were off. And on top of that, they have a gigantic warning sticker on the table that they used industrial strength glue to stick on. I'm having to use my fingernails to scrape little pieces off at a time. Very annoying. Probably wouldn't be as annoying if I wasn't a hormonal pregnant woman though. All in all, we would purchase the product again AND we would recomment to friends.

Was so excited to get this set. Looked great online and the price was unbeatable.. Was delivered to the store before we expected it to and we were so excited to bring it home and assemble it.. We started with the dresser it took 3 hours to put together and it was so difficult.. the holes didnt match up with the other pieces one of the screws wasn't even the right size.. Once it was put together it was beautiful it looked fantastic so the hard work was worth it. On the top of the dresser there was a "warning" sticker so, naturally, we peeled it off.. Once we peeled it off all of the paint that was underneath it came off with it so now the brand new dresser looks 10 years old.. My boyfriend put together the changing table the next day and he said it was a piece of cake. (Although there is an even bigger "warning" sticker that was are terrified to peel off) that night we put together the crib it was really simple until we got to the spring board for the bottom of the crib... After 2 hours of trying to figure out what we could possibly be doing wrong we gave up and realized the spring board was TOO SMALL for the frame of the crib... Now we have to call the company to send us not only a new top to the dresser, but a whole new spring board for our crib. Needless to say, this set is a lot more trouble than it's worth.

I chose this set because it came with everything that I needed and I thought that the price was reasonable. I got the the expresso color which looks like a dark cherry to me which I wanted so I loved that. The size of the crib great, size of the changer great also, but the dresser is a little small. You will have to buy extra storage for clothing or whatever you plan to put in the dresser. Everything feels very sturdy to me and I feel like I got what I wanted just will have to upgrade the dresser sooner than later. My husband put everything together crib and changer being the quickest and dresser took longer just because there were more peices.
There were minor scracthes on all items but that's the least of my worries when my daughter is born she will probably just add her own and it will blend right in.
Happy with my purchase.

We got this 3 piece set and the changing table and dresser went together fine. The crib was a whole other story. We bought this on October 30th and it is March 12th and my 9 week old daughter still doesn't have a crib. The customer service line for this company is a third party answering service. The 'corporate' number doesn't ever get answered. It doesn't matter if you call during business hours. Sometimes even the answering machine is full and don't ever expect the company to get back to you. This headache is not worth it.

WE READ THE REVIEWS ON THE SCRATCHES AND DINGS IN THE WOOD AND WAS KINDA WONDERING IF WE SHOULD PICK THIS ONE OR NOT....WELL WE DID CAUSE WE LOVED THE COLOR AND HOW THE SLEIGH STYLE LOOKED. The furniture looks great, downfall is the dresser took us HOURS and most of the holes did not line up right. The handles were especially hard since the screw did not fit into the screw holes. The changing table was really easy took about 20 minutes, and the bed was literally done in 5 minutes. Its great for the price and very sturdy. Next time we may take the chance on having Walmart put it together, but we wont be buying another furniture set unless we have to. Also, the giant stickers on the furniture are really hard to get off and leaves all the sticky residue, well be buying something to remove it with.

I am so pleased with this entire set. I am VERY picky and spent over $1200 on my older sons nursery set. I am so glad I didn't do that again. My husband put everything together in about 2 hours. He said it all went together fairly well. The drawers on the dresser don't slide quite as well as I would have hoped but I can definetely work with it. Overall I LOVE this set. It was an awesome value. Very sturdy and the color is great. There was one imperfection on the dresser but not worth sending back. Also we didn't remove any of the safety stirckers so they are visible but I didn't want to hassle with it. Would def purchases again!

We are happy with this purchase. The quality is as expected for the price. The Crib was very easy to put together, took maybe 10 minutes. The dresser and changing table were much more difficult to assemble, and the instructions were slightly lacking in direction. Look closely at the pictures, and if you have a small drill for the screws on the dresser it may be more helpful than the screwdriver provided with the kit. The bottoms of the drawers and changing table shelves are very thin and probably will not hold much weight, but luckily most baby items are not very heavy. Overall the set was a good value for the price, but it may not last as long as we had hoped.

When i bought this i was worried about the reviews that said that pieces were missing but everything was there. The set was beautiful but they put stickers on in places you cant hide, i found it best to just leave them alone and find a way to cover them up. Some holes were not lined up and had to be shaved down to fit. And there were some nicks but they were no big deal i personally thought there would be more because of the cheap price. But this set is a great value for the price!
