Let me first say better sound quality does exist. If you're going to be a snoot and complain that it's not the best sound quality ever produced by man, don't buy $25 speakers at Walmart. Duh. Buy professional. That being said, these speakers are marvelous. Incredibly easy to transport, great sound quality, far higher volume tolerance than I expected, and an enormous projection range. For the person looking for great quality on a budget, these are the speakers for you.

For the price, these little speakers are worth every penny and give a good sound. They aren't BOSE but for a lot of people who hardly care about all the symphonic sounds they would work perfectly. I myself prefer good tones and all but am not able to afford the best speakers out there and these do me fine.

I bought a pair of these three years ago and they lasted a long time before they ended up needing to be replaced. In fact the speakers themselves I'm sure still work fine the wires ended up becoming play toys for my felines.
When it came time to replace them I decided to just by another set of the same things, because they were really efficient speakers. The biggest plus to these speakers is the sub woofer; for it's size it produces a excellent bass presence.
If you are looking for a well rounded sound quality for a decent price I would suggest these every time. Just don't let the wires become toys.

I was looking for a cheap pc speakers for my android tablet.
When i read the reviews and so most of them were good i brought them because the price was what i was looking to spend.Well the two left and right speakers are good sound but the bass is hardly noticeable so i downloaded an app called Equalizer and it sure boosted the sound a whole lot but the bass was still not totaly there.I decided to cut the wires from the bass box and add my own spare JVC bass speaker i had with a much bigger bass speaker and WOW IT SOUNDED ALMOST LIKE MY PIONEER RECEVER! I belive to save money on this system they used a real cheap speaker that is not even a bass speaker.So you get what you pay for.

Wanting inexpensive external speakers for a recently purchased small TV with the typical terrible sound, I tried the BX 1221 system. I was encouraged by many of the positive reviews. The two speakers provide what you should expect from their small size, a frequency range that is limited to the highs. I was disappointed to find the subwoofer provided a weak base response until increasing the volume that resulted in excruciating high notes. The midrange frequencies are missing so the system lacks a full sound. The idea of this space saving 2.1 system is nice, but I am returning these. The SONY SRS-A3 2 speakers remain my benchmark for comparison.

my order was on backorder and it came a week later than I expected. the speakers look good and sound great, the sub is a little weak for my own preference but for this price you really can't complain much. if you are looking for something simple and small this is might be something you want for slightly above average speakers.

i wanted some decent speakers for an mp3 player (not ipod) and a pal recommended these. WOW! they jam! the subwoofer gives me the thumping bass i love. worth every dime. i paid about $30.

I have purchased Altec Lansing products for years and these little speakers have not disappointed me. It's perfect for use with a personal computer, but the base won't blow you away. It's just what you'd expect for a set of speakers under $20! Heclk, it's probably better than you'd expect! I would recommend them to anyone who needs an inexpensive set of speakers that aren't cheaply made.

I've had these speakers for about 1 1/2 - 2years now. They sound great, and are definitely loud. For 25 dollars, these speakers are worth it. I am a PC gamer, mostly playing COD, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed, etc. And these speakers were worth every penny I paid for them. These speakers are also great for listening to Music on your PC. The bass is very clear. I've listened to screamo, Rock, punk rock, heavy, hip pop, rap, and pop rock and these speakers were just awesome listening to them. The bass is great, however the box lies to you when it says "bass you can feel!" .. You cant REALLY feel the bass unless u turn the speakers all the way up and the pc volume to atleast 1/2 max and even then its not like it'll vibrate the desk. You can feel the bass a little bit if u rest your hand on the desk. But again these speakers are spectacular.
Pros: Loud, Great Bass, Sound great, Clear quality sound, lasted longer than my other speakers that were 60$ and did not sound nearly as great as these 25$ ones, Convienent in size.
Cons: The wire the conects the left and right speaker can not be unpluged #not to bad of a con# and the same wire, which is a bad thing, is just a tad too short for me. #could just be how my desk is shaped haha#, Not as good as a home theatre system but who cares, its 25$ compared to 400+$ xD GREAT SPEAKERS THOUGH!~ :)

I find these speakers a very good compliment to my 2 laptops. They provide very good sound even though the bass is not booming it makes listening very comfortable to the ear. I would recomend this set to anyone looking for a good solution for any portable input.
