This machine has great sound, was surprised at the quality of the sound. Screen is a good size to be able to read the words. Camera did not produce a clear picture when we turned it on, but over all this is a great machine. Can have lots of fun with it and think it will be easily portable for travel. Enjoyed it so much when we received it that we spent 6 hours using it the same evening.

The First one I got was deffective. It like snapped when we were putting it together and the screws were weak. we couldnt even take it apart to ship it back. So I had to call .com and request a new one. I haven't had any problem with the new one. I wish it was a color screen I thought it was but it's not too big a deal. Overall its pretty good I love the Mics

I have used the Singing Machine for 2 years and it has given me everything I expected of performance and sastisfaction. I dropped my original Singing Machine and it broke. I needed a fast replacement. I saw Walmart had the machine online and could get it quickly. The replacement had a short that cut off and on that was annoying. Walmart sent a replacement Singing Machine over night which was unbeliveable.
The only problem with each Singing Machine was the CD Deck lid has a molded lock piece that holds the deck lid closed when the CD is placed in the unit to play. All three units I have had, this piece was broken off and I had to use super glue to reattach this plastic piece back into place. The shipping of the unit could be improved to prevent this from happening.
The secound unit I owned had a short in it but the replacement unit appears to be fine at this time.
For people who like to sing along or in place of there favorite singers, a singing machine is a great way to have fun lesurely or at parties or singing in the front of groups of people.

I had no idea karaoke was so much fun. This is a solid machine with plenty of features and controls. This model is not a toy. Assembly was hampered by tap holes that weren't aligned, but otherwise a breeze. No complaints.

I received the product in a timely manner and once opening it and putting it together, the door that closes on top of the CD was broken and would not stay closed. I had to dis-assemble it and take it back to my local Walmart for a refund. Very disappointed.

i bought this and love it. mind you, i am not a very good singer, but i have fun with it and so does my bf and other friends. the words show up in B&W and it is possible that you may have to use the trouble shoot page on something-we did for the "snowy screen" part, and everything works fine. it comes in very loud and has adjustable settings to make yourself sound much better. the discs that come with it are OK, but i am younger so i wanted something spunky, hip hop, and country so i bought the additional discs for $19.00 that hook up and play through your dvd player. all the cords come with the machine you would need. the discs that come with it will play and show up directly on the karaoke machine display, but mind you that if u purchase seperate discs they are only compatible with the dvd player hooked up and lyrics will show up on either the machine or the tv (prefer the tv so u can see them easier). 2 microphones come with it and i think they are good quality bc they do the job and i can hear myself and other just fine and loud. all in all, anyone who buys it will have fun with it bc its hard not too if you love singing and grooving to the music. it is more of a top quality machine and thats why i sprung for the more expensive one. usually i do buy cheaper but not electronics for the most part. oh yea, the video camera will show your face and capture your moves and how u sing, but i havent figured out if it will record me doing so bc i would love to upload some of this to facebook or something for laughs... haha

I Have owned several of these machines in the past. They serve their purpose well for as long as they last. They have fragile working parts and must be handled cautiously. The first one I owned the cd door broke off after 3 months. The next two the internal tube broke and this last one I purchased didnt work at all.

I really can't give a recommendation for the product, as it has been bought for as a present which will be given later this year. However I can attest to it arriving in a timely manner and the outside of the carton was in good shape. We opened to package to check and ensure all the items contained in the package arrived in good shape.

It didn't work

We were so excited about this Karaoke Machine. It looks very durable and professional. However, we just couldn't the screen to stop flickering. Sometimes it even went out on us and we had to unplug it and re plug it for it to work. But it only worked for five minutes before the screen started flickering again. We had to return it to Walmart the next day. I was so disappointed because it didn't work the day of our big party. Now I am searching for another brand.

My husband loves to karaoke. I got this for him on his 56th birthday. He loves it!! So does our children and friends. We listen to the radio a lot also. The speakers have excellent sound. Everyone asks when we are having karaoke night.

Got this for a friend for a birthday gift. Set it up prior due to other reviews. What an awesome system. It is much bigger than I anticipated. The sound is great and the words are large on the screen. I am really happy with this purchase. I am sure my friend will enjoy this for years to come!!

Hello: This is a review on my first STVG 1009 I ordered on-line from Walmart. After waiting 2 weeks for delivery it only played some cd-g discs. Sadly I had to return it to the local Walmart store for a refund. Judging by the difference in packaging, this unit may have already been returned by someone else. I will make another review for the second unit I bought.
