Remington Remington 10" Electric Pole Saw
The Remington 10inch Electric Pole Saw can cut branches, which are 15 feet above the ground without the need for a ladder. The hex-shaped inner pole is made from aluminum for a durable strength and rigidity during extended-reach operations. With 10" low kickback and chain, this Remington chain saw provides you with a safe and comfortable working. The outer pole is made from fiberglass. The head of the Remington chain saw can be removed easily from the pole and can be used separately as a handheld electric chainsaw. The adjustable telescoping pole has a flip lever for easy locking of the pole. The trigger lock-off mechanism in this electric pole chain saw avoids any accidental starting.

I live in San Jose which at one point in history was filled with orchards! I have an orange tree, and a n Apricot tree. They both need trimming and it used to be a hassle with the old method of a ladder and trimmers! This tool cut my time in half and no ladder was needed!

Im very young (14) and thought this was great. This came in damaged packaging but right out of the boc worked well. Its not for the weak. In the fully extended feture it was a little hevey but overall was great. it would of been better if the motor was on the bottom.

At fully extended it is a bit heavy and hard to hold..at no extension it's very managable...cuts great..the lever to lock the handle broke on first use so not sure if it was defective or bad design. replacement part was 5 bucks...with the exception of the lever lock everything else is well built and rugged..if you have branches to cut that a regular saw can't reach, i would recommend this saw...

With motor at top of pole it is to heavy to hold up with one hand and still control trigger. Being a fit 93 pound 65 year old female I guess it was to hard for me. But the concept was great - I really wish the motor would have been at bottom of pole

Product is very good as it is. Lightweight and easy to use, unlike other chainsaw that I have made in other country [this one is made in USA], after just a few use the tension adjustment give way. Tried to look if I can repair the tension clamp, unfortunately its made of plastic and can't find where can I buy the part. I cut only a few six/eight inches branches of trees and now it's collecting dust. :(
This Remington chain saw is worth for the money. All I need to do is add the oil and ready to go. Chain tension is factory pre-set so no need to adjust for now; maybe to the future. Other good thing in this chain saw is, it can cut more than ten inches in diameter [all you need to do is turn yourself around the trunk of the tree and cut my fourteen-inch tree that lean toward my house]. Very good product.
Shipping date is in the time frame given. Shipping is free to the store I chose. With in five minutes of waiting, the associate got the chainsaw and I'm done.

This saw made very short work of my tree trimming. I also plan to use it to trim the hard-to-reach, surrounded-by-poison-ivy shrubs. Although the setup was easy once the parts were examined, it would be nice if the manufacturer would invest a bit more in the setup guide to illustrate how the pole attaches to the saw. That could be tough for the non-mechanically minded to figure out on their own. And make sure you also buy chain oil!!

Good saw, altered it to apply a weight below the handle to reduce fatigue from holding it up for long periods. A shoulder strap properly placed and the weight makes this usable for hours on end. Long term durability is not obvious but it is what you pay for.

I purchased this saw to cut a few limbs down. A few days after receiving the saw, a 40 ft tree was hit by lightning in my backyard. I cut the entire tree down to firewood. The saw easily made it worth my money.

This came preassembled. By that I mean the chain was already on the saw. Make sure to READ INSTRUCTIONS. I found out, after my husband handed me a bottle of bar oil, that it takes regular #30 motor oil. This is to lubricate the chain. It worked great, easy to use and handle. Heavy duty pole and good quality overall!

This saw has surpassed all of my expectations. I have an over abundance of laurel oaks surrounding my yard that was killing the grass. These are large trees with large limbs. This saw went through everything put it to with amazing ease. If you don't put it in a bind, the chain stays tight through a lot of cutting which is unique in itself. I'd buy another if this one quit tomorrow because I have put it far past it's intended use. Well made, light, and easy to use.

I was able to reach the limbs with out using a ladder and that makes it worth the money. Trimming jobs are easier because I can take the saw off of the pole by removing one wing nut and use it as a hand held chain saw. This is a strong saw and cutting down trees or big limbs, is quick with little effort. I did not find any negatives with this device, it was everything I hoped it would be.

I bought the Remington 10" 8-Amp Pole Saw for my husband as we had several trees and large old shrubs that needed to be trimmed. My husband is 75 years old and his power saw is heavy and really designed for a much younger person. He loves this saw. In fact, he has offered to help our daughter trim her trees when he is finished with our lot. Being electric is a slight handicap if you have a large bit of property, but it works just fine on our 100-foot cord. The long pole is the best feature. It is heavy enough to reach those higher branches but doesn't wobble all around as we thought might happen. I like the feature of removing the pole for limbs that are lower. All around, we love this saw.

The hex shape of the upper pole, prevents it from twisting around. Other reviewers provided the tip of not forcing the saw to do the work, just let it do its thing and it will work great. Very pleased, it's a real time saver.
