12V Surfer Girl Ride-On

I shopped for months for a ride-on car for my daughter after accidentally giving her the idea that Santa would bring her a car for Christmas. I quite literally stumbled over this product by mistake. I saw the exact same car at another chain toy store but it was blue and yellow and not "girlie" (my daughter insisted she was getting a PINK car). My dad--who has no mechanical skill at all--put the car together in less than three hours, stickers and all. My daughter has had the best time with it although she'd rather have the neighbor kids chaufer her around in it still. There are two bummer thngs I would say about this that car: it is hard to steer. The bigger kids don't seem to have a problem with it but my 2-yr old doesn't quite have the strength and it's also kinda hard to steer when you're leaning over the car to "help." The second thing is the battery is kind of hard to connect/detach. I fight with it every time. Having said that, I do not regret buying the "cheap" car. My daughter was absolutely thrilled to get it and looks completely adorable in it.

It would be great if tires would have a better grip. I purchased this vehicle for christmas for my granddaughter but actually called a barbie jeep. The tires spend if she hits a piece of limestone and its to hard for a youngster to steer.

Walmart indicated that if you have any problems with this product you should not return it to the store but contact www.funcreation.net. I have been dealing with these people for over three weeks now in an attempt to assemble the product. They have been of no help. First they sent me the wrong parts, then the second shipment were the original parts that did not resolve the problem. They keep telling me that I am not following the directions properly, but it is obvious to me that there is a real problem. I even had a friend who repairs semi's and he agreed that it can't be assembled with the parts provided. Also, if you need a manual for this, don't bother to look on their website for the Surfer Girl, its not listed. I even tried to email the manufacturer, but they no longer accept email. Good luck to anyone else tring to assemble this product.
