Being older, I do a majority of shopping on line. This worked very well and my daughter
received her Christmas present early. She promptly put it to work at her present
residence and then at her new lake cottage. She says it does a great job. She also used it to
vacuum the cars and the boat!

this vacuum has been a problem was in for warrenty work twice in the first year and is not working again at 18 months.plastic is falling apart breaking off .Is hard to pull wheels not big enough to pull it over the cord hose kinks I would never buy another hoover product again thankfully it has a 3 year warrenty.

This is great product for people with dogs. We have 2 labs and it picks up their hair with no problem and leaves the house looking great. I have enjoyed my mothers day vacuum immensely!

I received an email from Walmart stating that the vacuum shipping had been delayed. This email came after I had already been waiting 2 weeks for the vacuum to arrive. If you are going to purchase ONLINE from WALMART be very AWARE that you may end up waiting LONGER than promised for your purchase to arrive !

Bought this only because only Kenmore service centers can work on Kenmore vacuums. I should have just gotten my 6 year old Kenmore vacuum fixed.
This vacuum didn't last a single year.
If there is worse customer service than Hoover I have not yet experienced it.
If you want a disposable vacuum then this is for you.

For years I have had both upright and canister vacuums, upright for carpeting, canisters for under furniture, curtains and bare floors. During the past 17 years I have had two Kenmore canister vacuums, both had been extremely good units. I looked at Kenmore again, as well as other manufacturers, and the Kenmore was higher priced. For the short time I have had it, this model Hoover is every bit as good as the Kenmore vacuums, but about $100 cheaper. If this unit will last 7-8 years, I'll be even more pleased than I am now.

Would love to comment on the vacuum but after two tries, we couldn't get one delivered to the local Wal-Mart without the packaging being torn and broken handle parts sticking out-packaging was damaged in the exact same place...twice! We'll try Sears.

Not worth the money

I opened my vacuum to find a very cheap plastic toy like vacuum. It is not worth the money I spent on it. To top it off when I plugged it in, there was nothing. No sound, no suction, no nothing. It did not work at all. I was afraid to purchase a Hoover Windtunnel because the upright I had in the past was bad, I thought maybe they improved through the years, they've gotten worse.

I was very excited to purchase a new vacuum. This product has great power. But I find it to be very cumbersome. I am totally worn out by the time I've finished my small house. The hose is too stiff and the wand is to big. The handle you hold is too big, and not styled for comfort. I don't like the hard floor attachment and am using my old one. I am sorry I didn't send it back, but thought I'd get use to it.

While this canister vacuum has a lot of suction, the hardwood floor attachment prevents it from working. The design is ridiculous -- I almost drug out the broom to get the job done! The carpet attachment works great -- in fact, it picks up better on my ceramic tile than the floor attachment??? I bought this to replace my Wind Tunnel canister that I've had (and loved) for about 12 years before it died. Also, the hose on this new model is way too stiff -- it's awkward to pull around. I should probably return it now that I think about it.

This vacuum has excellent suction power and makes quick work of cleaning. I do find the hose to be a bit stiff and the angle of the duster attachment is awkward to use. Not as good as the older Hoover vacuums but alot better than others I've tried.

This vacuum would be close to excellent with a few changes. The suction is indeed very impressive. I do feel like it's getting the rugs clean, but it's hard to drag over them. I use the lowest suction, too. Perhaps a height adjustment would help. When using the stair and furniture attachment, it is very hard to pull the handle out of the wand on mine. It's just as hard to get it back together when done. And speaking of the stair/furniture attachment, it would work much better if the attachment itself was motorized (the Kenmore vacuum cleaner has a motorized one~ works great!). Whenever the tool makes contact with a surface, the brush stops rolling. What's the point? I agree, the hose is quite cumbersome too. And last but definately not least, the BIGGEST issue is definately the on/off switch being on the canister instead of the handle.

I replaced my 20 year old Hoover canister with this new model. I had studied and read reviews of a lot of canisters. I like a canister because you can get under couches & beds, etc. I have wood, tile, carpet and area rugs. I decided on one with a bag. I have a portable dirt devil with a cup to empty and it is really messy. I don't need MORE dust in the air. The bag does not have to be emptied after each use. There is also a FULL indicator light. I like the suction options. You can lessen the power for things like kitchen rugs so they won't be sucked off the floor. I use the big motor for the carpets & rugs; and use the wand with the floor tool attachment for other floors. The small tool with rotating brush is great for cloth furniture. Good instructions for assembly. There is a toll free number if you have any questions. I did have a little bit of trouble trying to find the ON bar. Just think push with your foot for the features. Good long cord that retracts with push of a bar. I thought the value was very good. It was rated well on Consumer Reports. Especially for suction. I paid about the same as I did for the 20 yr old machine.

i love the stair attachment - it really does a great job in half the time and effort. The handle for all attachments is different - and takes a little getting comfortable with the handle, but still does a great job.
