I spent several months researching LCD's and the Vizio always came up with the overall better reviews. I puchased this site to store and it arrived 4 days earlier then expected. I had it set up in just minutes right out of the box. I currently am using a cable analog hook up and could not believe how good the picture was with that alone. The sound is not very good quality but all other reviews said the same and I use a stereo hookup anyway. I didn't have to make any picture adjustments at all. I recommend this TV. I got the 47" 240 hz. and the size is perfect. I feel the price could be about $150 lower but it was still worth it. Happy Shopping

A very nice television,

The Vizio SV471XVT can produce dramatically attractive images with very little tweaking. The video smoothing options are best left turned off, and the display needs to be toned down a bit, but color, detail, and contrast are all that one could hope for. In rare instances a bit of processing artifacts will appear for a fraction of a second, but this is no more of an irritant than all of the other little glitches inherent in digital video as we currently know it. This is a very nice television!

AFTER HAVING A SAMSUNG DELIVERED AND PAID FOR IT TO BOOT...WE WERE VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE QUALITY OF THE SAMSUNG...WE WENT BACK AND PURCHASED THIS MODEL AND HAVE NEVER SEEN A PICTURE LIKE THIS!!! WE ARE IN A REC ROOM WITH THE TV ABOUT 5 FEET AWAY AND THE PICTURE IS AWESOME...THE BLINDS ARE USUALLY PULLED AND THE CLARITY AND CLEARNESS OF THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE...SPORTS AND SUCH MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU BOUGHT A TICKET....AFTER LOOKINH IN SEV SHOWROOMS WE FOUND THE PERFECT Tv!!!!
I used this tv for less than a day and it was fine. The night of the first day watched a movie using surround sound movie played fine came through the surround sound fine then when switched back to the tv the speakers on the tv no longer worked. Vizio has given me nothing but grief trying to fix it because I did not want to return it. It has been a week and a half and the only way to watch tv is with the surround sound on. Waiting on Vizio tech to come and fix it.

I love my new TV. I spent a couple of months researching. Never thought buying a new tv was so complicated. So many options! I finally decided to buy the 47" 240Hz Vizio, and I LOVE IT!!! Perfect packaging, great delivery experience, and SO EASY to set up. I love the remote control. All the buttons light up :) and I Love that I didn't have to program anything. It controls my cable box and my dvd player!! I would definitely recommend this tv!! :)

Beautiful TV,

This was an early Christmas gift bought in November for our family. Having never owned an HDTV, I tried to do my homework on the subject and other customer reviews were very helpful in my decision to purchase this Vizio. This is a stunning television in appearance and operation. Delivery was ontime, packaging was great and organized, and the ease to set this TV up was very simple. We are loving and enjoying this incredible television!

GREAT Television. I'm sooo glad I bought this T.V. I caught the Super Bowl sale at Walmart and set out to buy a Sony. Since the Sony was out of stock, I bought this one instead.
I have several friends who have purchased Vizios and are very pleased. I just recommend catching it on a sale like I did since I saved about $200.
Soooo this one is hands down a great buy for the price and quality is great!

After being impressed with a 32" Vizio that we bought for our bedroom, we decided to purchase this one to replace a Sony 36" tube TV in our living room and we're glad we did! It has an amazing picture, sound, and lots of great features. If you notice the trend of most reviewers, they own multiple Vizios - in fact, we just purchased a 22" Vizio to replace an older TV in our spare bedroom.
