My son received Scout as a birthday present for his 1st Birthday and it was by far one of his favorite presents! It goes everywhere with us and he sleeps with it! We cant walk out the door without him pointing for us to grab Scout. The personalization is too cute and was pretty easy to do. Couldn't ask for anything better. I even bought Violet for my 6 month old niece!

I bought this for my son when he was six months old. He started out by only looking it when the bow tie lit up, but now that he's fifteen months old he can press the buttons himself and loves to hear Scout say his name. Absolutely adorable. If this one ever breaks I would not hesitate to buy a new one.

My 18 month old loves this toy. It is so cute to hear it saying his name such as "I love you, ____!" and to sing a song that spells his name out - as well as mentioning his favorite animal, color, and food! Plus, Scout is soft and cuddly - just right for hugging. He makes my son smile and laugh every time - that's all that matters!

Fantastic toy! Our son with special needs loves this toy. We like that it is easy for him to operate. The programable features were very quick to set up and have been straightforward when we want to change anything. Best yet is the $19.95 price.

My child has learning disabilities and because it says his name all the time it helps keep his attention. He does not play with many toy other than cars. But since i can program it to play songs he knows and it says his name he actually plays with it.

My Pal Scout is my sons favourite toy right now! It says for children over 6 months but my son was 2.5 months when he took interest in it. Since he can't push the buttons himself yet, we do it for him. He loves to listen to the music and laughs and smiles at it. We put it on the floor for tummy time and he lifts his head to see it. The only thing I wish is that the songs with words were longer in length.

love this dog. it is very cute and soft to begin with. this is the 3rd one I have bought because my kids just love them. they have each gotten one for there birthdays. they love that their stuffed animal can say there name. even my oldest child who is 7 years old still plays with her dog.
it is very easy to set up on the computer which is good for parents also

I am a 54 yr old male and scout is my favorite toy, kidding. This was purchased for a 18 month oldboy. His mother tells me he loves it and enjoys listening to it and having it with him. It was a Christmas present so i haven't heard what all it can do. I think any child would like it and it seems to offer some educational qualities.

I bought this for my son 2 years ago, and he loved it so much (still sleeps with it every night) that I decided to purchase it for my nephew (11 months) for Christmas. I ordered online and my sister picked it up at her local Walmart in San Diego the same day! My nephew loves his puppy just as much as my son does. I love that it can be personalized and changed to introduce your child to different music and vocabulary, colors, and animals. After 2 years of ownership there are only 2 things that are slightly annoying. Scout gets dirty but you can't put him in the washer (obviously, because of the computer), so the best you can do is a spot clean here and there. And the batteries are difficult to change. We haven't had to do it very often, but it's difficult when required. But, those 2 small things are not enough to deter anybody from this toy. Best toy for a preschooler I have ever found, and after 3 kids, you can bet we have tried a bunch!

We just purchased this for my 4-year-olds birthday. He has severe intellecutal disabilities and is mentally at an 18-month-old level. He absolutely loves the fact that Scout knows his name, and favorite animal and food. He sings all of our sons favorite songs, and will play songs to help him get to sleep. We also have an 18-month-old son, who is in love with Scout. So we are going to get him Violet. This is a wonderful stuffed animal to make as a new friend for your child. It is not very educational, but it is nice just as a stuffed friend. And for the price, you cannot go wrong. Both of my son's names are available with the program, and there are plenty of nicknames if your child isn't listed. It is wonderful that you can change the songs and favorites with it too! What a wonderful toy!

I didn't know too much about Scout when I bought it for my 6 month old for Christmas. When I was getting him ready to give (doing all the online stuff) I discovered it can actually say the child's name and play some of their favorite songs. My baby's name is not common, and usually I can't find anything to "say" it. But Scout can! and he pronounces it properly as well. I thought it was so cute that I went out and bought one for my 2 year old as well.
Price was pretty good too!
