Review 1 for TredSafe - Men's Mario Work Shoes, Wide Width
Good work shoes, didn't last long under heavy use.

Shoes are very comfortable, good fit. I work in the grocery industry in a fresh market department where non-slip shoes are required. Tred-Safe shoes are approved by my company and I like the fit. The down-side to these shoes is that under heavy use and constant abuse, they wear out quicker and the seams and materials on the upper, front part of each shoe, around the seams, is flaking off, with tears in the sides. The shoes are less than six months old. I have tried the hard, dress style but they weren't as comfortable. For a mid-range safety shoe these are okay. I would rather buy a few pair a year at $24-$28, rather than spend a hundred plus for a more expensive pair. Bottom line: "You get what you pay for!"

Review 2 for TredSafe - Men's Mario Work Shoes, Wide Width
My husband is on his feet all day at his job. He has purchased Sketchers, and Dr. Scholl's work shoes in the past but when I purchased these for him to try he loved them. He said they are very light weight but sturdy and grips the floor when he wears them.

These shoes look great, but are very uncomfortable

I have bought work shoes from walmart for years but these shoes just dont cut it. The price was right but the fitting is very narrow. Their is little padding and no support. Working 10 hr shifts means I need shoes that are comfortable. And these things are killing me! I even have gel insoles in them, and they do not help. These may work for people with narrow feet, or it may just be they take a long time to break in. Id say look for something else though.

Review 7 for TredSafe - Men's Mario Work Shoes, Wide Width
My job requires shoes that will deliver the following: 1. Low cost: I work for low wage 2. Long lasting sole: I am constantly walking and carrying heavy stuffs 3. Easy to clean: Work place is very dirty 4. Comfortable: Must be soft sole of gel insert 5. Resistant to common detergent: Most other low end shoe soles will separate in 6 months 6. Good traction: Work place is either wet or industrial grease 7. Wide width: Just my foot 8: Durable upper surface: Job requires I shoe shine
TredSafe Mario delivers all of the above. The only minor imperfection is no hard toe.

Awful Shoe

I bought these to work in fast food and I have had them 3 days and every night I come home I can barely walk. You would think that they would have a comfortable shoe since most people that buy slip resistant shoes work in Fast food. These are truly the worst things that I have ever put on my feet. To make it a better shoe it would need better support and insoles do NOT help at all.

Review 10 for TredSafe - Men's Mario Work Shoes, Wide Width
So after reading the reviews on this product I was on the fence. The price however was unbeatable. I am glad I purchased them because I am extremely happy with them. Didn't experience a break-in (blister) period, they fit well, and the non-slip is wayyyy better than my previous shoe. I was using an Asics brand from Kohls due to being able to get the shoe for about 10$ more with all the % off and Kohls cash, and nonsense. Those shoes started at 59.99 if not discounted. I can honestly say, this shoe is 10x better and another important quality is it LET MY FEET BREATH! Would buy again, even if they only lasted 6 months, well worth it.

Shoes wrecked my arch!

On 12/15/21I purchased these shoes from walmart. when I tried them on at the store they felt great, and were comfy. I wore them to work on 12/16/12 and when I got home and removed the shoes I saw a large red mark on my foot (Looked like a big coma [punctuation]) I figured, well these are new shoes and I did work almost 9 hours. Next day my arch is causing me extreme pain, like I don't even wanna work, I just want to go home. The mark is now bigger, darker, and causes me pain when I walk even without shoes on. Upon further inspection the insole had these large raised bumps (I don't know why) and when I held the sole up to my foot, it landed right where the red mark was.
I removed the insoles and put in a pair from an old pair of shoes and I know that the insoles that came with the shoes were the reason behind the marks and pain on my foot. I worked in these shoes for a total of 17 hours and I have a large bruise on my foot and work again tomorrow.
I'd recommend an insole with these shoes if they start causing you pain on your arch. or even if you think they'll hurt you too.
My husband needed new shoes for work. He has an active job and is always on his feet. He says they are comfortable and fit well. Plus being "tredSafe" they conform the the rules and regulations of his job, to help prevent slipping and falling.

My last pair of trd safe shoes lasted 2.5 years. My new pair not even 2 months before the sole came off. Very disappointed with this pair. Considering new brand of work shoes.

I work in fast food and am on my feet for up to 10 hours a day. They are good shoes for the price and my only problem with them was they don't cushion your heels too well. I bought Dr. Scholls custom fit insoles and the result was a shoe that you can wear all day with no pain.

Review 17 for TredSafe - Men's Mario Work Shoes, Wide Width
It is hard for me to find a shoe that I don't destroy in a few months. This holds up for about 5+ months. I was a Stride rite child and wore orthotics until a few years ago when the expense was more than I could handle. These shoes do well for me for work.

My wife and I live in Australia and can't get these wonderful shoes here...and if we could they would cost over $150. I bought them and had Walmart mail them to my daughter and then forwarded to me. Love them!

Not as slip resistant as they should be

I am the safety coordinator where i work and we require slip resistant shoes for all employees, I bought these to try out, the price is fantastic, they look a little cheap looking plastic, but my biggest concern is that they are not as slip resistant and any other slip resistant shoes I have worn, they tend to slide on watery surfaces and I notice they slide quite a bit.. Not a good shoe for food service operations, spend a little more and get a better quality shoe

I think this is a great shoe. The bottom has an insane amount of traction. The style is kind of questionable since it is sort of shiny (not sure if it is trying to look like a dress shoe). They are comfortable and lightweight. I have been wearing them for about a week.
