VERY HAPPY FOR THE HELP I GOT FROM THE GENTLEMAN AT THE CREIGHTON STORE IN THE TOY DEPARTMENT.
HE TOLD ME HE KNEW ALL ABOUT THIS SCHWINN AND THAT THIS WAS A GOOD BIKE FOR ME.
HE KNEW HOW TO PUT IT TOGETHER. AFTER TALKING TO HIM I ORDERED THIS BIKE.
BY THE TIME IT CAME IF I WAS WORKING THE ELECTION POLLS AND THEN HAD TO GO TO STORE TO CLAIM IT THEN SEND IT TO ASSEMBLY DEPARTMENT...WASTE OF TIME AND GAS.. BUT SATURDAY EVENING AFTER WORKING POLLS, HAD A FREINDS SON TAKE ME TO STORE WITH HIS TRUCK TO PICK UP BIKE.
IT IS A BEAUTY. EVERYONE IN STORE REMARKED ON IT.
MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE ONE ON DISPLAY.....YOU WOULD SELL MORE FOR SURE.

Unfortunately, the quality of the Meridian trike is very poor. I was very disappointed when one hour into my first ride it started making a banging and clanging noise! I went back online to check the reviews and discovered that the reviews with low ratings had similar complaints. It appears to be a rear bearing issue. I really wanted it to work. I love the retro look of this trike and it handles/rides well. FYI, I'm nowhere near the weight limit.
I ended up purchasing a Miami Sun trike and love it! I guess in this situation you DO get what you pay for!

I had to order this adult tricycle three times as the bikes come into the main store damaged. The way it was explained to me is Schwinn does not pack them well and then Walmart just throws them on the truck. I am on hold with Walmart right now to see if #3 is damaged or it it's a go.

Rear fenders are too close to wheel and only brace on one side making them difficult to keep aligned. Fender on right side tends to rub against tire and is constantly needing adjustment. Since it only rubs in one spot it is probably is a problem with that wheel's spoke adjustment. I'm still looking into it.

It's a nice trike except for the flimsy fender mounting brackets. I still can't get the fenders centered over the rear tires. More fender/tire clearance would be nice. Straight forward, easy assembly except for the flimsy fenders.

It took us about 30 minutes to put the bike together. This is a huge bike, you may want to put it together out side. You must read the instruction booklet to put the bike together. If you don't you will be taking it apart and putting it back together several times!
He said, " I don't need directions, I know how to put a bike together." After the 4th time taking it apart; She read the directions to him. It went together real easy that time. :)
The basket it huge, you can haul groceries or a small cooler in it with room to spare.
There is a learning curve to riding it. I'm still a little wobbly turning around. I'm looking forward to riding this summer.
