GE GE Convection Toaster Oven
The GE Convection Toaster Oven makes it easy for you to cook food, especially chicken and smaller varieties of meats. Based on the principle of convection cooking, this rotisserie toaster oven works using air convection and cooks food evenly. It does not create hot spots and gives the food a perfect golden color when cooked. With multiple options like rotisserie, broil, toast, keep warm, and bake, this stainless steel toaster oven is a must-have for those who prefer to spend less time on cooking. The rotisserie function grills and cooks delicious recipes just like ones you would find in a deli or restaurant. The oven comes with three shelves for proper positioning of the food. With a 21-liter capacity, this oven is big enough for baking a 12'' size pizza. The power light inside the oven chamber lets you check on food without opening the door. This door is equipped with Cool Touch handles, which do not get hot even when the oven has been working for 45 minutes.

Bought this because it has a rotisserie in it. I am so looking forward to my Thanksgiving Prime Rib in this oven . Cooked some small items like brown and serve rolls and they came out perfectly browned and toasted. The toast portion does take some time to toast items, but I didn't buy this for the toast feature but for the convection and rotisserie. The only drawback is that it is sooo deep. I would rather have had it wider than deeper. Now I only have 4" of counter top space in front of this oven in my already small kitchen. It fits under standard counter tops.
So far, cooking small items has been easy . The only drawback is that you do have to pre-heat this oven for even cooking and correct cooking times. My old infra-red Toastmaster lasted for 7 years and I hope I get years of use out of this oven also. Walmart has the absolute best price for this item. Do not purchase elsewhere!

Oven thermostat allegedly goes to 450 degrees, however the highest setting only produces heat at 380 degrees. It took 18 minutes to "toast" an english muffin. Oven will not get any hotter.

I purchased this oven a little over a year ago. The top burners no longer work. Not pleased! I use this oven on a daily basis and it should have lasted a lot longer. I've purchased a Black and Decker in the past and it broke and now this GE. My next purchase will be an Oster, I hope it lasts.

Baking a cake

cake mix called for 35 min at 350deg.set the timer for 42 min as to pre heat,then checked the cakes they were still in a liquid form,but had raised to the top of the pan height,set timer for another 20 min,checked and tooth pic interned and came out gooey and wet,set the timer for another 10 min, started the gas oven,350 deg,after 10 min in the GE,still gooey,it took another 10 min in my large gas oven before completing,72 min. in the GE Convection Toaster Oven on bake @ 350deg. and another 10 min in my large gas oven after pre heating!!!!!!!

I purchased this oven based on the brand name, price, and features. I was very disappointed! Although the unit looks nice and has great features, it doesn't heat hardly at all. The first day that I had it, I tried to toast bread and it took close to twenty minutes and left the bread dry and hard as a rock. I thought that I may have done something wrong so I tried again the next day (after ensuring that I had all of the settings correct, which I did) and I got the same results. I returned it to the store for a refund.

Try, Try Again!

I bought this about a week ago after reading several reviews. Even though some said it didn't heat up to standard temps, I decided to risk it. The first time used was to bake sweet potatoes. I started at 375 and ended up at maxed temp for the last of 3 hours! They were still not totally baked. I love the looks and size of this product, and I think I will try an exchange to see what happens with the next one. If this problem continues, I will have to try another brand of oven.

thinking about returning this unit. doesnt seem to be getting hot enough, takes extrememly long cooking times. hopefully, i just got the one bad one, but something tells me, for $50, what should you expect?

I purchased this in the store after looking at many other ovens. The GE has 3 shelf positions
and 2 racks plus baking sheet. The rotisserie we have used twice works well and not bad to clean up. Over all we like this oven have tried all the features, a oven light would be helpful when you open the door, especially when putting the rotisseerie spit in.
Just the right size for 2 people.

I've had this oven about 2 years and it has been wonderful!
The rotisserie hasn't been used--I had concern about how to clean the inside afterwards.
It is very quiet and I'm very thankful for it.
It is important to put the temperature lower than the recipe may call for--it cooks rather quickly.
In the share your info section I said every day.
There wasn't a choice for perhaps 5-6 times per week--it varies.

About 4 or 5 years ago I bought 5 of these and gave them out as Christmas gifts. All but one is still working. The rotiserie funtion does a very good job, and cooks a reg size chicken to perfection in about an hour and a half.

Got this to use instead of the big oven as I don't cook very much and hope it will use less electricity to bake then the regular oven. I've only baked dinner for one a couple times and it worked fine.

Uses less power, which is one reason why I purchased the product. I do not bake nor cook large items, mainly warming up or to bake small foods. Heating the huge oven, heated the entire apt, and took just as much time for it to cool down as it did getting hot.
I am happy with the GE Toaster Oven, do recommend it for students or single persons. Does not get as hot as the oven in the means of, not heating up the entire apartment. The best part of this toaster oven is that it heats/cooks the foods evenly. I never got that from the oven!
It's not a large appliance, it fits on the counter top next to oven, out of the way of everything else. Worth the money. Worth the time.
I will say, that the rotisserie part of it, is a hassle, for me at least, 'individual results do vary'... other than that, I still love it, and use it every day.
Easy to clean, easy to use, very happy with it.

After looking & researching for several months for the perfect convection oven, I chose this one. My final decision lay in the fact of the rotisseri built in. We wanted to be able to roast a chicken, roast or ham for the two of us and this oven does it all. The only thing lacking is a light inside of the oven to look at the food cooking. Thumbs up to this oven.

We have had our toaster over for about a year, and have used it almost daily for frozen pizzas, toast, chicken strips, corn dogs, and just about anything else. It has worked 100% as described. The reason I am leaving this review is because I was searching online to order another one from Wal-Mart along with some other items to start a food vending trailer. I know it's not a commercial unit, but believe me, it will do the job. I can't say enough for this oven. I would recommend it to anyone and would buy it as a gift for loved ones and friends. And yes, I'm going to use it in my roadside food business.

I have not used all of the features in this over.
I have toasted and I have baked. Nothing else.
Toast takes about 10 minutes at the highest temp (450)
I tried baking recently--chicken and potatoes. Normally, 1 hour at 400 F does the trick. It took me 1.5 hours at 450 F (the highest setting for this toaster over). The potato was not fully cooked.
This is my 4th or 5th toaster over (I have owned a GE toaster ovens before) and I am very unhappy with this one.
I know nothing about the features or the durability of this over. I just know that, even set at 450 F, it gets to maybe 350-375 F.

I highly recommend this oven!!!!!! I've had mine for a week. It toasts beautifully. I made a beef roast with the rotisseri and it was wonderful!!!!! I love how roomy it is. You can cook multiple things at the same time. I LOVE THIS OVEN! I highly recommend. Great value for the price.
