With a toddler with a ravenous appetite for games on Sprout Online, PBS Kids et. al., it was getting to the point where we didn't want her trashing our (expensive) laptop.
It might not be the fastest computer, or have the biggest screen, but for a little girl, its the perfect size. It's fast enough for her to play her games and go to the sites she likes, and the added features are good (though, I will admit I haven't accessed them all yet).
Of you have a small child and would like to get them used to computers for a good price, you can't really beat this machine.

Excellent product. My 6-year old absolutely loves it. She has computer homework assignments, and now she can complete them wherever she goes, whether home or not. The Microsoft package and disney radio/games being already loaded is also a plus.

I purchased this product for myself. I love it! I've been wanting a netbook but didn't want to pay $400 for one. I found this one at a great price and it does all that I needed it to do. I don't access the Disney stuff but I love the pretty pink design and matching desktop theme.

I bought this for my 3 1/2 year old for Christmas in hopes I would get my laptop back. It has all the features a parent would love but was expecting a bit more. I didn't think about the size of the netbook being so small that there would be no cd/dvd drive in the computer to add any programs. Screen is very small, my daughter has to scroll up and down to play her games on nick jr. In short, this is a great product for someone looking for small screen and for nothing to be added, my daughter loves it and plays on it daily, but I feel she would get more use if I just paid a little more for a small laptop then she could use the laptop for portable dvd player and a fun learning tool.

My daughter is 10 and in the 4th grade and is already being required to do a lot of internet research and reports. I run a small business off my laptop as well as the household accounts and such and my husband is always on his as well so she really needed her own. This is perfect. It has all the internet and programs she needs without being loaded down with too much.

This computer was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 5 yr old granddaughter. She opened this on Christmas morning and I am told it stays with her all the time. She is a very fast learner and with the aid of the computer she is teaching her little brother. Per my son-in-law, he said Disney did a great job with this. They do not have to sit and moniter each web site especially with the built in parental control. This is a winner.

After reading all the reviews on this lap top, I decided to purchase it for my 7 yr old daughter. Since she wanted her own laptop, I figured the features this laptop has thanks to Disney, would be perfect for her. My only complaint is that it is running XP. I would prefer Win 7. When she accesses some of the disney sites, it locks up and we have to reboot it. Other then that, it's a great laptop for any kid. The size is perfect for their little hands. As for Daddy, well his hands are too big. Any parent who is looking for a laptop for their child, this is the way to go. All the security features it has, keeps your mind at ease. There is no way for them to access any site that you haven't approved. Overall it's Great! If it wasn't for XP, I would hae given it 5 stars.

I had ordered this in mid October for my children for chirstmas. It has been in the house for this long and am so excited. My kids are 10 (boy) and 6 (girl). They are at that age that toys become boring after 2 plays and are interested in technology, so what's better than getting a laptop/netbook. I am glad that this became available because it allows us parents to control and monitor. I am very internet worrysome when my children get online. Now this will allow them to access only the sites we allow them to. Even for my 10 year old, I think this will assist him with his skills w/o the temptation to venture off. Love the colors, got both pink and blue one. I cannot wait till they open it up. My 10 yr old asked Santa for a laptop for chirstmas and I said, Santa may not be able to bring it because there are alot of children that would like gifts from Santa too. We've set their profile up as well and it was kool :). Very excited, great for young ones!

I absolutely love this netbook. I bought this for myself. I deleted the parental control off of the computer since I didn't buy it for a child. Love the color, it is very durable and portable. Small and light so it fits in my purse, I take it with me everywhere. Even got it a little wet and it still works great. Only thing is it's a little slow, however I'm going to upgrade to 2 gigs and that should fix the problem. Was worried about the mega pixels on the camera being to low but my pics look fine when I video conference.

This computer is just perfect for my granddaughter. She is so anxious to play on a computer like everyone else. The Disney games that are on the computer will be excellent for her. It has not worked since the day I recieved it. It would not brouse to any website even though it had an excellent connection to the internet. I called Asus and they tried to walk me through some changes , but nothing helped. I sent it back and am waiting to see.

This thing is light as a feather and just perfect for my 4 yr old's hands! The coloring of the outer skin is just perfect, its so much cuter in person than what it show online... and I was so amazed at how clear and perfect the picture was considering it was only 8.9" (I thought you would have to scroll to the left or right alot due to the picture not fitting 100% on the screen or the picture would be more distorted due to the small screen; believe it not its no different than looking at my 15" laptop). We purchased this for her for Christmas since she is so extremely computer advanced for her age, due to the fact we could control what sites she went on, and it was worth every penny! I love how the parental control works... I went ahead and set up her profile with limited control and her 3 favorite sites (PBS Kids, Nick Jr, and Disney) so that when she clicked on her net she could go to town.... I love how there is no address bar for them to go searching or to other non-approved sites unless you click on the parental control tab and type in a password, which then the address bar will appear. So there is no possible way for her to go to any other site other than the 3 I set up for her w/out me knowing! Brillant! She will be so thrilled on Christmas morning, and I will get my laptop back! A win-win situation.... and also, the main computer admistrator profile is set up in standard Windows XP, not the limited profile which I described above (the two profiles- the computer administrator profile and a childs profile- looks and works totally different) for those wondering if the net would be hard to use for an adult, its not. The Internet Explorer looks and works just like the standard explorer under a profile set up for the windows xp style (when setting up profiles, you choose whether its limited or standard) the address bar and all other options are visiable and functional without a password when on a nonlimited, standard profile...
