Southern Enterprises Wood Trash Bin with Storage Baskets, Black
The elegantly-designed Wood Trash Bin with Storage Baskets is a country-inspired accent unit for the kitchen or dining room. This efficient trash bin cart with a distressed black finish features a tilt out trashcan and three vertically-aligned wicker baskets. It is constructed of MDF with paper veneer and a solid rubber wood cutting board. The trashcan can be tilted out for easy access to the trash bin. The cutting board fits into the recessed space on the right side of the trash bin storage table for ease of use and can be lifted up for cleaning. The durable black trash can is designed to hold a 13 gallon trash bag.

This trash bin is working out really well. I have not been able to find a trash can to put in the bin so I just use a Glad Force Flex bag which has worked out really well so far. There are, however, some wood pieces in the bin that can catch on the bag when you take it out. I haven't had any problems with the bag falling into the bin - it stays in place well. I really like the look of it and how it has cleaned up the area where I used to have a regular trash can. I only gave it 4 stars because the inside of the bin should be smooth so that the bag doesn't catch on those wood pieces.

That when your putting together the shelf component to the trash bin pull out you have the curved intentions in the "frowning smiley face direction." If you do it the other way it will not work properly. Other than that it's great.

The product is okay but if you use a trash bag, the bag rips on the sides of the bin when you pull it out, especially if you fill it to the top. Recommend to buy a bin to put inside. The shelves scratch against the bottom when you pull them out, However this is a very nice looking product.

Now that I finished assembling it, I like its look.
However, please note that this product is poorly manufactured. The tolerances are horrible, the wood (basically pressboard) is flimsy, and it is smaller than I had envisioned.
If you buy this, make sure that you have the seller build it for you. AND make sure that you inspect it thoroughly before handing over your cash!

This trash - storage bin is exactly what I wanted. I feel it is a little too expensive, but it depends on how much you want it. The trash compartment is a little smaller than I was used to, but will have to adjust. I love the rustic look. I use the baskets to store potatoes and onions. It is a little hard to put together, so be prepared.

My wife and I recently purchased a house and have been having storage problems in the kitchen. We purchased this trash bin to replace a older similar bin we had been using. We freed up a ton of space using the 3 baskets (13in L x 10in W x 8in H). Measurements of the trash bin (13in L x 9.5in W x 19in H). I put the measurements because the product description does not break them down.
To the 2 reviewer's who said the paint came off. It states in the description that it is "distressed" black paint. It is supposed to look like that.
This trash bin was easy to put together and seems to be as sturdy as our old trash bin, which we had for 5-6 years. Also, when put together it looks very tiny, but serves it purpose. I think the $199.00 price tag is a bit overpriced, but it'll depend on how it holds up and how many years we get out of it.
I'd highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to purchase a trash bin and needs extra storage in their kitchen.

I have had this waste bin for almost 4 years and for the price, its been a great value. I'm on the site today to buy another one because my old one finally bit the dust. Considering there are very few things in my house that get more use and treated more rough than the kitchen trash can - - I'm thrilled with this product!

Trash bin is smaller then normal kitchen trash cans feel it would be great for a 1 or 2 person family. Black had rubbed off of product durning making of it or shipping husband has to do some touch ups. Hard to assemble and thank goodness my husband is a handy man or it would not be as good as a piece of furniture that it turned out to be. I would recommend it however for the price you pay for it. Just don't think of it as a long lasting piece of furniture.

I needed a trash and recycling solution for a small space and this totally rocked it. Drawbacks were that it wasn't easy to put together and there are spots that the black paint rubbed off.

Every thin went along very nicely till I came to the part putting together the pull out trash bin Thr 2 post that go intothe sides are to lbig or the holes are to small.so after having it over a week I'm waiting for someone to redrill the holes to fit.
