This camping cooler keeps contents cold for up to five days at 90F and hence it is also known as the Rubbermaid 5 day cooler. It has the capacity to hold fifty-seven 12-ounce cans with 20 pounds of ice. The wheeled cooler comes with dual-material wheels and a retractable luggage-style handle which make it easy to move across a variety of surfaces. I love my new Rubbermaid 5-Day 50-Quart Wheeled cooler. I had my old one for years and my husband backed over it so I have been on the hunt for a new one and was excited to find this one at Wal-Mart.com. I like this one even better that my old one, it holds more and is a little bit taller but still fits into the trunk of my Honda Accord!

First of all, i have no idea why they call this the 5 day cooler because i bought this and used it this weekend. I put a 20 pund bag of ice with bottled water and pop inside --The outside temp was no more than 70 and within 3 hours half the ice in the cooler was melted. It must be some design flaw with the lid, it doesnt seal as well as solid lid coolers. second of all, the handle: once the handle is pulled out it is very hard to get it to go back down. you have to hit it to get t down. I say to avoid constant runs to town to get ice or having warm drinks buy a cooler with a solid lid, not this cooler.

We bought this cooler after purchasing one like it last year. It works great. Holds ice for a long time. The drain plug will wear out with time but it is easily replaced by calling Rubbermaid.

Bought this to go on a hunting trip. The cooler is what I expected. However, another guy in my hunting party had the same cooler with heavier duty rubber wheels. Not sure if rubbermaid went to the cheaper plastic wheels on my cooler to save money but what a disappointment.

I purchased this cooler to provide a wet/dry setup for a river cooler. However, the right hand side lid does not seal what-so-ever. I'm hoping to be able to return this to my local walmart, and will look for a different model, more than likely an igloo.

Thought the cooler was divided into 2 sections, but it is not. It is one large cooler with 2 lids. Other than that initial dissappointment I was thrilled with it. Nice telescoping handle, large easy roll wheels and large interior makes it a great buy for $40.

Well, My cooler arrived with one of the wheels/wheel housing busted up but other than that, it does a good job with keeping cold things cold. I use it for going to the grocery store and putting dry ice or plain ice in to keep the frozen/chilled things cold for the 45 to 1 hour drive home.

We bought this to keep our produce fresh at the local farmer's market. We've had an early heat spell here in Central FL & the 2 times we've been at the market it was in the upper 90's. Kept everything fresh & cold almost like right out of the fridge.
As for the quality, my husband had put 40 lbs. of ice in it & loaded it into the back of our pick-up, but somehow it fell out on the road & got bumped by a car (fortunately nothing worse for the car & cooler!) When he went back to get it, it was still locked & full of ice. Needless to say, we're impressed.

This is my third cooler. I literally used the first one to death. The second one was used for a couple of years with good service until I made a river stereo out of it. It had worked so well that I bought another to replace it. It's reasonably lightweight and once iced down keeps food and drink cold for sevaral days.

I went camping with 3 teenagers. We used 3 bags of ice and it kept everything cold for 3 days. It may work for 5 days if you don't have kids opening it up every couple of hours.

I have owned this cooler for 2 years and use it constantly during my summer camping trips. I camp 10 to 15 weekends per year and have really abused this cooler. OK, so it doesnt keep ice for 5 days but if kept in the shade it will keep ice for 3 and thats really all I needed. My only complaint is that after the first year or so it started to leak from the drain hole. Just a little. So I just always put one of my tarps under it in the car. It really is worth the money. Im getting another one this weekend.

I bought this because I thought it was the same one my sister had years ago, but when I recieved it, I noticed that the lid was loose, and didn't seal. I returned it and got the coleman extreme 5 day with wheels. That one is way better, and it's shorter and fatter, so it actually fits upright in my trunk, which the rubbermaid does not, I had to lay it down, which would be impractical if I had stuff in it.

On a 90 degree weekend the ice had to be refreshed on day 2 ... no way this would make 5 days.
BUT ... love how it's built; handles, rollers, split top w/drink holders & drain. Really a very nice cooler but only for 2 days @most 3. It's very sturdy & we gave it a good workout, every week through OCT. Still looks new & we bought it in JUL, it will last a long time : ) overall happy with it.

I purchased this for Christmas and we couldn't be happier. The double opening with the slots for the drinks is great. Now we can rest our drinks on the cooler and still be able to open it and get something out without fumbling with what was on top. Another great feature is the drain at the base of the cooler. Instead of breaking our backs to dump the cooler at the end of the night, we simply unplug it. And since it's Rubber-Maid, I know it can withstand anthing my husband or 3 boys can throw at it (or in it).
