Review 1 for Brahma - Men's Gus Steel-Toe Work Boots, Wide Width
Failed me every time

I bough these boots three times. Everytime The back heel wears out super fast and is hollow so it starts sucking in water and debris. But the worst and first to become a problem is the steel toe plate. It's not covered inside. It digs into your toes and if your feet sweat (and they will in this "waterproof" sweatbox) .. they will cause the plate to rust and eat your socks. That's right, you heard me; eat holes in the toes of your brand new socks. I finally decided to try a more expensive brand because I didn't want to waste away another $30 on something I knew was going to fail me and ruin a bunch of my socks.
Check out the Interceptor Kentin boots....VERY nice for me so far.

Review 3 for Brahma - Men's Gus Steel-Toe Work Boots, Wide Width
The Steel toe is made to small making the front of the boot to small and cuts into your toes on either side. It feel like the toe cap rubs on the side of your feet. I have tied two pair of socks to stop the rubbing but no luck.

These boots look great and for the price I thought I was getting a deal, but after one day of wear they began to hurt the back of my ankle. This seems to be a major problem with these boots. I've talked to seven other people whom have experienced the same problem.

My husband bought these to wear to work. He works outside and does a lot of walking. About 4 months into the boots and they have cracks in the soles so they leak whenever he steps in a puddle. This is the 3rd pair of Brahma boots this past year. No more of this brand!

This review is for the Brahma "Gus" steel toe boot. On my 6th or 7th pair now - last about a year under heavy industrial use. Haven't had much luck with other Brahma models but these are the best by far. These boots withstand hydraulic oil, diesel, gasoline and any other fluid found at a heavy truck or equipment shop. Water resistance seems good. The sole and leather seem to last as long or more than R*d Wings or W*lverine. Anti-slip/oil resistant sole works great. They have no painful break-in period and are easy on the feet - just add a pair of Dr. Scholls insoles for maximum comfort. I replace when the steel toe starts showing even though it could last longer. Only problem found are the shoe laces break. Add a pair of good shoe laces and insoles to these boots and you have a great work boot at less than half the price.

They are nice boots for the money. Only complaint would be the Leather could be a little thicker. Also wish the came in D width and not just the wide. But the fit is still fine just more room for your toes. Would buy another pair if needed.

I bought these boots because i liked the style, and look.at 29.00 i felt if they lasted 6 months itd be worth it.I w ore them the first day ,and they felt huge(im a 12 these felt like a 13)also the leather(if leather at all)didnt hold any kind of shape of the foot.i tried adding an extra insole, and tightening but my foot kept moving around. My feet were sore after day 1,and the right toe of the boot had a curve inward that kept rubbing on my toe.Day 2 on dirt tat curve inward on the right toe kept rubbing even worse on uneven ground.Day 3 returned for a 11 ,and still my foot moved around. The leather was rinkling not holding any shape. My right toe developed a blister from that rubbing on the curve(very unnoticeable odd curve inward that made no sense...i noticed it because i was looking for the rubbing)had to wrap my toe in duck tape to finish working. Not to mention my ankles killed me.horrible affordable lack of quality boots.

We've only had these a couple of weeks they aren't even broken in good, but so far they look better than most boots and shoes we buy. My husband works in a machine shop and oil, metal chips and concrete floors are all obsticals to keeping foot wear for more than a couple of months. So far these seem like they are going to work out well.

these boots are great, I've had them for well over 6 months, and the type of work I do I'm used to buying steel toe boots like crazy, these boots are very durable and excellent which I'm surpised because I usually spend over 100 dollars each time on a pair of steel toe boots, these have lasted longer than any of my other boots.
but
the only thing that I did not like about these boots was that you have to wear very durable socks because these boots will make holes in cheap socks and these are not the most comfortable boots out there, but hey I got way more than I paid for with these boots, so yeah, pretty good work boots.

My son usually wears a 13 but I ordered a 12 and they fit him great. They look great also, I like the short round toe. They had a moth ball smell but went away after they were worn for a few days.
