I am quite pleased with this exercise bike. Walmart made it easy to order online and ship directly to my home for just $5.00. It only took my husband 30 minutes to put together, and I've used it everyday since. This machine is super quiet and comfortable to use. Especially since I have a history of a bad back, the padded chair and back offers additional support. I am up to the highest resistance level. I only wish that the resistance level could go up a couple more notches than level 8, then I'd be very happy. But all in all, it's a great machine and completely affordable compared to the others I've seen. 45 minutes of peddling = 10 miles for me and it's given me good cardio and lower body exercise so far. I have yet to see the results. If you want upper body, I would recommend getting some weights to move your arms while peddling. I tried it in this combination for the first time today, and I feel it in upper body. I would recommend this bike to anyone looking for a a great and affordable recumbent exercise bike. You can thank me later, just kidding. Good luck with your search.

I just received this bike and the reviews were correct. It is very quiet. Can't hear it at all. I was afraid it would scare my dogs, but they don't even notice that I'm using it. The pedals seem a little far away for me (I'm 5'3) so I just put a pillow behind my bike.

I've only had it 4 days now and I"m doing about 15 miles a day on #2. I will ride for 5 miles, get off doing something else and go back to ride more and watch tv at the same time. It's so quiet you are able to do this. Several people have already seen mine and want one. I'm hoping for a weight loss...a little too early to see yet. I could easily do more than 15 miles a day. It takes me about 15 minutes for 5 miles on #2. I started out on #1 for the first two days. I"m 61 years old and I really needed some kind of exercise that I wasn't getting. This is great. I put on my Yanni music and start 'riding'. I truly am loving this thing. No getting out and walking on the road where you don't know who's going to come up...or if its going to start raining, or too cold...too hot. It is perfect and you're safe in your own home watching your favorite programs.

I am retired and seeking easy to use and low priced exercise equipment. The Marcy ME-709 fits the bill. Its limited amount of display information is more than I need. I just want to pedal for about 10 minutes as part of my daily regimen. (I also have a treadmill and a rowing machine.)
The equipment was easy to put together, if you follow the instructions. Especially since my adult son did it for me. :-)

Seeing all the great reviews on this, and not wanting to spend $1000+ on a quality treadmill, I decided to get this. I'm very happy with it so far. I've owned it for 6 months now and I haven't experienced any issues with it. This machine is nice in that it has a comfortable seat to sit in while you can exercise your legs and lower abdomen hands-free. This allows you to read a book, play on your mobile device, etc. while working out. As for the workout you get, it's not bad. I found that at the lower intensity settings, you get a virtually impact-free workout but it doesn't get your muscles tight and sweating like the highest setting does. Within 20 minutes on the highest setting, I can 'feel the burn' while using it and watching my favorite TV shows. The impact on my knees is minimal, unlike other exercise steppers/etc. I've tried.
The most concerning problem I've seen in the reviews is with the bearings wearing out. But I haven't experienced that. I imagine that under intensive daily usage, that could pose an issue eventually.
This machine gives me a low-impact, effective workout on my legs and lower abdomen without breaking the bank or taking up all the precious space in my small living room. Highly recommended.

Im a heavy girl, and I have a heavy guy who is 6'4 and we just got this bike and we are loving it. I put it together by my self in about 2 hours so ladies, don't be shy'd away :-) The bike is very sturdy and built well. WAY WORTH THE PRICE! I have about 150 pounds to loose so I will update my post in a few months. Wish me luck!

I would love this exercise bike. The only thing is that I have only got to ride it 1 time. The bike was missing the knob that adjusts the seat to keep it from sliding when you pedal. Called the company and they are sending me the knob but can't ride the bike until I get that knob because the seat slides.

I recently purchased this thru walmart.com. I used to love riding a bike, but a car accident 2 years ago, and some unrelated knee problems have prevented me from riding my bike. I have gained weight over the years, and more due to my accident (fractured spine) and the knee problems have put a damper on exercise attempts. I have been riding everyday - starting slow - 10 minutes at level 2 tension and am now up to 35 minutes at level 4. I can feel my legs getting stronger and have lost a few lbs.
The seat and back are comfortable and being able to sit this way eliminates stress on my back, neck, shoulders and wrists. I also feel less stress on my knees than I do from my treadmill. I love the adjustable tension controls. The display is great for monitoring my time, distance, calories burned, speed, etc. If I have to step away for a few minutes, it continues where I left off when I return. Unless I choose to reset to 0.
I just can't say enough good things about this bike!! Also, I ordered it and it was at my door within 3-4 days!!

I took it for granted after loosing a couple of pounds during my first week pedalling while wacthing TV. I need to get back pedalling again. Great buy. My Girl Friend loves it. It is now her excuse to come over more often, whcih it is Great! LOVE IT!

Just what I ordered. I put it together all by myself in about one hour. Quiet can be used while watching TV. The monitor is confusing I cant figure out how to turn it off, but it goes off on its own after 8 minutes of no use. Nothing fancy just a recumbent bike that works for $139 at least if it doesn't get used I haven't broke the bank.

This exercise bike is a GEM! It was very easy to assembly. It took us around an hour or less to assemble. This bike is excellent for folks with Arthiritis. I am a healthy young woman and the seat is comfortable and perfect. I love it! Great buy for the money.
