One of the best top ten movies of all time. A real feel good movie. Most adults over 50 know of and would love it, young adults should too. this is the kind of movie we need to have out for all to see. Great acting and script.

This movie is wonderful. It has the elements of the 1950's, from the cars to the clothing. Ernest Borgnine's acting is supurb and this is a wonderful story centered in New York. Very nice.

It is not surprising that this delightful movie got the picture of the year award in 1955. I saw this movie on TV many years ago, and it was unforgettable. Delighted to view it again, and to have this DVD as part of my collection.

"Marty: Gentleman With an Indomitable Spirit, 11/16/2008

A sweet, simple love story that examines the complexities of human nature. A shy, lonely middle-aged butcher sacrifices his own desires to care for his elderly. mother. After meeting Clara a timid, mousy schoolteacher one night at an upscale nightclub, the two begin a heart to heart that changes both of their lives. Marty must decide to stay safely on his side of the street or risk his heart for a chance at love.

Best picture and rightly so. Romantic, endearing, and a must see. Too underrated in my opinion by many. This one is for anyone who believes in true love or champions the underdog. And even if not those two things, it is great on a universal level, as the viewer realizes we all struggle with the same questions and desires and all harbor the same hopes.

I love this movie. One of my top five favorites of all time. You want be disappointed.

This is the perfect movie for anyone that is over 30 and feels discouraged because they think they'll never get married.
This movie is simply great. Go buy it now.
