Dead Rising 2 introduces a new protagonist named Chuck Greene whose Motocross background and tragic past has brought him to Fortune City. He is there to compete in Terror is Reality, a gruesome game show that dares contestants to survive zombie-filled environments for big money prizes at the delight of TV audiences. Chucks motivation for risking life and limb is his daughter Katey, who since being bitten by a zombie requires a daily dose of Zombrex to prevent her from turning into one of the living dead. During his time in Fortune City, a zombie outbreak occurs and Chuck is blamed for the incident. Over the next 72 hours, he must survive the onslaught of the undead and clear his name. Pitted against two fearsome threats tens of thousands of zombies and the constant countdown of the clock Chuck must also unravel the greater conspiracy behind the outbreak and just as importantly, find the Zombrex necessary to stop Katey from joining the ever growing zombie horde.

I bought his as a gift for my 17 year old son and he has had a lot of fun playing it. We like a lot of the differences from the first game, especially being able to use separate components to create new zombie killing weapons.

Always liked the Dead Rising series and 2 is no exception. My only gripe about the purchase is that because I had to use an E-Gift code, there was no option for in-store pickup. Minor quibbles really. Fantastic game that I haven't been able to stop playing.

I still prefer the original game but this sequel is a worthy addition to the franchise. I maxed out this game in the first month but continue to play co-op at least once a week. It really can provide hours of entertainment with friends. It saddens me that they removed the photography element (and Frank West, in general) but the improved Survivor A.I. more than makes up for this. Once you have Chuck at level 20+ you should have absolutely no trouble defeating the game's psychopaths and saving every survivor.
