This electric smoker worked as advertised and is so convenient compared to wood or coal fired smokers. The heat remains constant allowing me to leave unattended for hours while I go fishing or doing other activities. I added a grate above the electric element/lava rocks so I could toss my wood chips in since it was difficult to place in between the element thru the access door. I also added a temperature gauge, which may not have been necessary, just wanted to know the temperature.

I have not been able to try the smoker yet. I am sure it will be great. After waiting two weeks for it to be delivered, it finally got here and was missing the grates that go inside. So it is basically unusable. They are sending replacement grates, that they say will get here in two more weeks. Will not be ordering products that come from Wayfair any more.

Assembly and set up are very easy and the user's manual is well written. Between what's in the manual and on the web, there were no surprises.
I've used it only four times so far, including for the Thanksgiving turkey. It produces very moist, flavorful bbq. The price was very reasonable and the results were delicious. Better than my local bbq joint.
Easy to recommend this product.
