Directions for assembly were clear and all the pieces needed were present. We purchased two of these nightstands and on one of them, the hole had not been drilled for one of the drawer knobs. That was the only negative we could find (and we easily drilled a hole for the knob ourselves).
Being fairly inexperienced with assembling furniture like this, we realized that we should have read through all the instructions once before starting. If we had, we would have noted before nailing on the back, that 8 nails should be set aside for assembling the two drawers.
Overall, we are pleased so far with the product and would recommend them as a good value.

Searching for matching nightstands, tall enough to accommodate our new bed. Saw these on Wal-Mart website, lowest price for this set of two that you can find! The small cubby was what drew us to these. Reviews were encouraging. Ordered site to store, came faster than expected! It took a couple of hours to build the first one, being's we're OCD and laid out each piece carefully, wiping off the residue of sawdust, sorted out and counted the hardware into an organizer box and studied the instructions. Second one went so much faster. No damage or anything missing. However, we did not get the bronze knobs as described, we got knobs that were the same color as nightstand. They also have a somewhat strong smell to them, hopefully it we will go away in time. Cabinet felt very sturdy upon completion, drawer slides are smooth and are equipped to not fall out when opened all the way. Touch up marker very handy for minor scratches. Look great! We remedied the knob problem by buying new ones of our choice. Now the nightstands look expensive!! We love them, worth $165.00

I needed nightstands to match a king size bedroom suite. I was looking at these nightstands for awhile, but couldn't make up my mind because I was nervous that the color wouldn't match. I really liked how they had a cubbie in addition to two drawers. After a few months of debating and after reading pretty much every review, I went ahead and purchased them. After all, they were even packaging them in twos, so that made the value even better. I did the site to store and they arrived quickly. As soon as I got them home, I took out a piece to match it to the bedroom suite and it was a great match! We were off to a good start. All of the pieces were there. The instructions weren't that great, but with the help of two other people, we were able to assemble them in about an hour 1/2. I like how they are tall enough for a pillow top king size bed. I absolutely love them and they make such a great addition to the bedroom.

Target, Home Depot and Amazon all sell this same nightstand and they are way more expensive. I was looking for two nightstands anyway so it was a no-brainer. I really liked the look of them in the picture and thought they looked nice for an inexpensive nightstand. I have never reviewed a product I have purchased before but have been so impressed I wanted to mention how happy I am with the product. You have to realize you get what you pay for in terms of them not being solid wood but you also don't have the $300-400 price tag that comes with them. And I think they look just as nice and should last a long time.

These I bought to use as nightstands in my master bedroom. I have a tall bed, so was worried they'd be too low. They are perfect! They are just tall enough and the two drawers and extra book space are great! They don't come with silver knobs like the picture show. They are just wood like the stand. I changed them out to crystal like knobs to give it an elegant feel. Good value for the money!!

Nice nightstand

This nightstand looks much more expensive than it is. I bought two of them and put them together in the same evening myself. It took a grand total of about 2 hours and 15 minutes to assemble both nightstands. Assembly is easy, but many of the pieces did not come labeled and you had to spend time figuring out the backs and fronts. The first nightstand took about 1 hour and 15 minutes to assemble, since I read the directions very carefully. The second took about 45 mins to assemble, after I sorted all the pieces. Assembly requires a Phillips screwdriver and a hammer. If you want to put them together faster, get another person and let them build the drawers while you build the cabinet.
Other than the lack of labels on the pieces, there are two things about these nightstands that could be improved. First, the drawer bottoms are made of particle board that is about one-eighth of an inch thick and there are no extra supports for the drawers. I'm not sure how well that will last, so I'm going to add some supports or look into getting real wood to replace the cheap drawer bottoms. Second, the screw heads on the sides get covered with those cheap plastic screw covers. why not counter sink them and use nice plugs?
Overall, I really like the nightstands and highly recommend them. They look nice. They are stylish. They are slightly taller than my very tall sleigh bed. The reddish espresso color goes well with the reddish mahogany finish on my sleigh bed, too. The nightstands are also pretty solid and weight about 25 pounds each. The back was impressive as well-- not a cheap piece of cardboard that comes with most furniture in a box. Instead, the back was a thick piece of particle board, just like you find on real furniture in expensive stores these days. By getting the set of two Walmart sells, I paid about $167 (including tax), instead of $95 each. Good, inexpensive buy and I have matching nightstands!

This nightstand has met my expectations on quality and appearance. I have some concern on how well the veneer will hold up over time. My reason why is below. There is a reason why they give you the touch up marker.
I felt the packaging was well done. All parts on both stands arrived in good shape. That is except for a couple pieces, in one box, that had overspray from the spray foam they used for part of the packing. I spent at least 1/2 an hour carefully removing this foam from the parts. Inspite of being very careful, one of the trim pieces ended up with some damage to the veneer. Not bad enough to bother asking for a new piece. I touched it up with the marker. But it makes me wonder how easy it may be to damage the veneer.
To those that were able to assemble one of these stands in an hour, you have my admiration. It took me much longer. Part of the added time may just be me taking my time to make sure I did not damage anything. There are lots of oppertunity to do so with the differant style fastneers, screws and nails that are used. Take your time and it will turn out alright. I would have given it 4 stars on the overall rating if I did not have to clean the foam off the parts and the time it took to assemble.
With both stands assembled, and in place in the bedroom, I am pleased with my purchase. I like how they look and the overall quality is good.

We needed a nightstand that was tall enough for our bed and still looked nice. This definitely fit the bill. It is easy to put together, but be forewarned that the wooden pieces are not labeled as to which piece they are; you will have to rely on the drawings. Looks nice and the drawers work well. It also comes with two options for the bottom front support piece so you can change how it looks. Very pleased with our purchase.

Purchased for master bedroom. Love so much want to buy them for my son's room as well. Look is simple but rich due to the beautiful expresso color. Takes longer to put together than the directions estimate, but not difficult. More solid and sturdy than I expected. Really like that they are a little higher than the bed.

The Nightstands are a really good buy. The one problem I had was one of the boxes did not have the drawer bottoms. I had to call and send e-mail before I received the drawer bottoms and had to wait almost 2 weeks for delivery. The assembly was not too difficult but did take awhile. I am extremely happy with the look, sturdiness and quality of the nightstands.
