I have only used this one 1 time so far, but it worked great. The reason I got this model is I can use the trays from my old one to extend it. That one lasted 7 years befor the bottom cracked. This one should last that long hopefully.

i've never done any dehydrating, and wanted to try kale chips, which seems to be all the rage. i ordered the snackmaster site to store, and it came in good time, and was in excellent condition. i brought it home and used it right away. i've made apple chips with great success... sliced the apples, dipped them in lemon juice water, and then put them on the setting the machine recommended. they were easy to check on, just lifting the tray, to test a slice. they even gave tips on how to tell everything's done. have done kale chips about 3 times, and LOVE them. so easy, just a few hours, and they're awesome. you can fit 2 bunches de-stemmed into the trays. it's easy to clean, isn't loud, sounds like a little fan, and isn't heavy. it's exactly what i had hoped for.

Walmart needs to get a different shipping company. Although there was no damage to unit itself

I had a very old dehydrator and only used it a couple of times. It took 3-4 days to do, what this dehydrator did in just a few short hours. I love it!!!! Now I am dehydrating everything, from fruits to veggies. I know exactly what is in my soups and snacks, because I did it myself. I am really looking forward to using this with my garden this year along with canning.

This is the best dehydrator I have found on the market .. I make alot of Jerky and just bought me a second one ... I use grond up Elk meat and shoot it thru a jerky shooter and the drying time only takes 5 hours ... Clean up is easy ...

This is a great product, looking forward to ordering more trays to expand my dehydrating options. It's not noisy and it has a built-in fan which I'm told is best for dehydration. I made excellent kale chips and banana chips. I don't care for the color of the dehydrator, it's really white and it's durable plastic, which means it may stain easy. We'll see what a happens. Other than that, I love it!

I bought this machine a month ago and I use it every weekend. I marinade the meat for a few hours. Cooks jerky in less than 3-4 hours ,if you cut it thin it takes about an hour and that's all 5 trays. The fruit takes longer but it's okay when you're home on the weekends, and it makes the house smell soooo good. It's a great started machine for a small family. I only have 1 child at home. I'm actually going buy a 2nd one or a bigger one and give this one to my niece.

I bought a less expensive model dehydrator and it lasted only 6 months with weekly use. I decided to upgrade and I am pleased with this new model. It's quieter that the cheap one and much sturdier. I am very pleased.

This is a good Dehydrator works great I like the thermostat control. It is great doing Jerky I have only used it once, just got it 2 weeks ago, but I will be using it more in the coming weeks. I like the fan being on the top. I wish it came with more trays, but still is a good buy...
