Very good dehydrator. Dried the food quickly and evenly on all four levels of the drying trays, even when the trays were overpacked with food. I liked the temperature control settings also. The only thing that would be nice is an on/off button rather than just unplugging/plugging it. Good product.

This was my first time buying a dehydrator, and I really didn't know what to expect. I don't have anything to compare it against, but for a first time dehydrator, it met all my expectations. The drying time is quick, and thorough. The price could not be beat, and I liked how it has the adjustable temperature setting and it came with a fruit roll up tray, which is what I use most often, I had to buy more! My only complaint would be the shape of the dehydrator (which I knew before I bought it). I made breads and tortillas a lot, it would be nice if they were more of a square or round shape. The circularness of the dehydrator is a little limiting, and further down the line I will buy an Excalibur to replace this one.

This dehydrator is by far the fastest one that I have ever used. I made jerky in 4 1/2 hours that in the last one would have taken 10 to 12 hours to make. It is a great value in my opinion and I would buy another one. In fact I'm considering buying a second one just like this one.

I have an older model FD50 that is 10 years old and has seen a lot of use. This new model is a better design with the heating and fan unit on top so no juice will gum up the fan motor and heater elements. A on/off switch would be nice but just as easy to unplug when done. A great product again.

I love candy. Especially chewy candy. Obviously, this is an unhealthy habit. However, now that I'm drying my own fruit and making my own fruit rolls, the sweetness combined with the chewiness is a perfect substitute for candy, and it's healthy to boot! I've also dried vegetables to make wonderful snacks. And as low as the price is, it's an amazing value. Just goes to show you that expensive doesn't necessarily mean better!
My only complaint is that after the first use, the screens warped a bit, but it still works the same, so I really don't care. I'm in love with my dehydrator!

I've become a dehydrating fool. This product is worth the cost. It isn't that noisy, it does its job, and it is easy to clean up and put away. Have dehydrated our apples and some grapes, as well as tomatoes, peppers, and okra. All of them did well.

I bought this dehydrator a couple of weeks ago. Wal-Mart was definitely best in price. I was an "oven drying"man for more than 30 years...I can't believe I wasted all that time in the oven. This machine was perfect for my jerky. Extremely even drying over all the racks without rotating, and dried my jerky in just 4 hours...very quietly, I might add. I dried every fruit from bananas to peaches, pears, apples, mango, pineapple, strawberries - that takes about 12 hours, which, if you are a dehydrator junkie is very quick. The most useful feature of this product is the temperature control, eliminating harmful bacteria in your meats, yet drying fruits without "cooking" them. An additional plus, is that the (quiet) motor is top-mounted, so any drippings go on a simple plastic easy-to-clean tray at the bottom instead of in your fan unit. I just bought 8 additional racks to increase my capacity because friends and family are inundating me with orders. That's over 20 square feet of drying surface. Everyone will be getting jerky for Christmas! I only wish Wal Mart sold the LT-2W drying racks as well. Additional racks can be purchased for $9.99 per pair if you Google it right.

We used this dehydrator the very next day after it arrived. It works like a charm for making jerky - the primary reason that we bought it. We had looked at and priced many brands, but found this one met all of our needs at a very reasonable price. As a matter of fact this very same dehydrator sold for $10 - $15.00 more everywhere else we shopped. It was shipped much sooner than we expected to a nearby Walmart store - and yes we would shop Walmart.com again.

I've only used this product once so far, but it certainly did the trick. I used the site-to-store service and the product arrived in perfect condition and sooner than the email said it would. I am happy with the site-to-store service. I have a small home orchard and wanted to dehydrate apples. I thought this might be a better option than canning. I followed the instructions that came with the dehydrator and it worked just fine. I am storing the apples in zip-lock plastic bags and they don't take up much space. (Review by Trainboy22's wife.)

The Snackmaster was easy to use, easy to clean, and very light to handle. Cusumer help number was answered quickly. The only thing that bothered me was that in order to register product you need to send in a number that can only be found if you unscrew all of the Phillips screws and remove the motor from the top. The booklet says it should be on a sticker under the base, but it isn't, and the operator seemed to be aware of this when I phoned to say that there was no sticker on mine.

Given that the great dehydrators out there cost about 200 dollars--this one is great. I have had some difficulty knowing when the food was done and have had to put them pack in, but the end product is always good. I love the multiple settings and it isn't loud at all. Good buy.

This purchase was to replace the Snackmaster which I had had for 20+ years. I purchased another Snackmaster because I could utilize trays & accessories I already had.
The new Snackmaster has the heating/fan unit at the top whereas my previous unit had the heating/fan at the bottom; the new Snackmaster is much easier to clean. I also like the fact that the trays can be run through the dishwasher.
Only negative - no on/off switch. I dislike having to use the power cord for that.
