26" Men Schwinn Sidewinder Bicycle

Love this bike. Ordered it on Saturday before Christmas and it arrived on Wednesday with standard shipping. Easy to assemble. Definitely needed adjustments to brakes, derailleurs, and truing of the wheels. After a quick stop at my local bike shop, it was ready to go. The seat is very uncomfortable after a while so I will be replacing that the first chance I get. I ride it to work every day. Rides great on just about anything I've taken it on. Great bike for the price. You won't be disappointed.

My husband just wanted a basic bike to ride around the neighborhood, parks and with the kids. He put the bike together and said it was easy to put together and loves riding it. It's a great bike for the price and rides well.

We had the bike shipped to us and it came in good time and all parts where packed with it. It was easy to set up with a few simple tools in about 20 minutes. I had to top off tires and my son was off. He is really impressed with it. It handles girt and lawn well and the brakes stop fast too.

Ok i have had this bike for a while now. At first it consisted of about 20+ miles a day riding on paved roads only. For that it was great other than the occasional brake and shifting adjustment. From there i began using this bike for some trail riding and mild down hill, only issue was a poped tube which is nothing to complain about, i upgraded to the "thorn resistant" tubes (there only around 10 bucks and are about 10x thicker than the regular ones). For these uses the bike is great but anything more will break it fast. For the past few months i have been using it around a college campus daily. Stairs, curbs, trails, downhill, you name it ive been using this bike for it. going up a hill i broke a pedal, not too bad. But my deal killer is that last week i took a hard landing off a 3 foot drop, and i snapped through the suspension the fork. Surprisingly, the fork itself is still holding and even held well enough for me to not do a face plant and ride away without a scratch

Had the bike for about a week now and it's pretty sturdy. Had it delivered and took me no more than 10 minutes to put it together with minimal tools (screwdriver and allen wrench). The quick-release hub is great, however, unless you take the front brakes half off you cannot get the tire off, making the quick-release an impractical means of security (for those thinking along those lines). For putting it in a trunk or other confined storage it's great as long as you have an allen wrench handy (I keep one along with the key to my bike lock) I'll tell you straight up, I'm new to gears and if you are as well I would stay far away from the handle-grip gears like the ones on this bike. You're left grip controls the 3 main gears but there are a good 4-6 ticks in between each one, making shifting at night a challenge. If you're in between gears, very common at night, your chain starts slipping and scraping against the front derailleur which can be a hassle and pretty embarrassing. The rear 7 shift and operate flawlessly. Riding on town roads I usually stick to the 3rd main gear, dropping to 2nd if taking a steep hill. Haven't taken her off-road yet but I've rode around a bit in 1st to know it wouldn't have a problem what-so-ever tackling steep slopes and trails. All-around it's an excellent purchase thats quality far exceeds it's price. Would definitely recommend.

The bike is a good value for the money, however after assembly, you will need to adjust the brakes and gears. It will require taking the front brakes apart in order to install the front tire.

Overall, good value - but wasn't expecting to have to do the "tuning".

This bike is just fantastic!! The frame design is nice and clean. It also comes with nice componets. It is very nicely put together and also very easy to work on!! The price is really unbelievable for a bike this nice!!

Bought bike in Feb. '09, and since then have put on over 4k miles! Only minor adjustments needed so far, to accomplish my daily runs of over 20mi. Haven't missed a day, rain or shine with this bike.

The same day i bought the bike, i had issues with the chain, also the seat is very hard, if u plan to sit more than 5 minutes, u'll definitely need a new more comfortable seat. At the end i returned the bike the very same week i bought it. Not Satisfied!
