Very dissatisfied, I ordered this to have more bed space due to company during the holidays, Also to have a couch in the play room for the kids to game during the day. We have still not been able to use it due to missing parts. I called Wal-Mart to find out I had to deal with the manufacturer, when I called them they informed me that the order would not be processed until after the thanksgiving break so needless to say it’s not put together just taking up much needed space. I could not only not be reimbursed for the bed nor for the expedited shipping I paid for to have this in time for the holidays.

This is a good futon bunk for the value. Works great in our kids room. My only main issue was that I didn't calculate the fact that the bunk bed would need to be placed away from the wall to pull the futon out in the bed position. I had wrongly assumed the bed would pull out into the room and stick out a bit, rather than center on the frame with overhang on the front and back. We have a very tiny room so this means less floor space in the middle than I had predicted. All the photos of the bunk bed show it up against the wall so it is important to point this out.

the directions were a little hard to figure out, the diagram picture was opposite, and it took 4 hours to put it together but once it was together it was worth it! It is sturdy and looks really nice. So awesome with the futon. My 12 year old daughter loves it!

These beds are great!! We needed enough bedding for three kids...2 boys and 1 girl and something that would not take up a lot of space and this bed was the perfect solution!! The two boys who are younger sleep at the bottom and the girl sleeps on top and everybody is happy. The beds are sturdy and the black frame is stylish. The futon at the bottom makes for a nice seating area for watching TV when not being used as a bed.The only con to this bed is that the top bunk is too close to the ceiling, but that's not the bed's fault, the ceiling is just too low. Word of advice...measure your ceiling clearance before you purchase!!!

You must build this from scratch. there is nothing but complete assembly for this bed and you will need washers for the assembly the metal is almost paper thin. and alot of plastic parts to hold the slats in!!!!

I guess I expected the large panels to arrive intact, instead you have to be prepared to put the bed together bolt by bolt. It took one person and an assistant 5 hours minimum to put it together. So be prepared.

I purchased this bed for my daughters birthday. I ordered it in plenty of time for her birthday slumber party. The bed arrived as planned but was missing pieces. I contacted the manufacturer and was sent an email that my replacement parts would arrive in 2 weeks. Needless to say the slumber party did not go as planned. Very poor service. It only took 3 days for the entire bed to arrive but 2 weeks for 2 parts that would fit in my palm. I would take the whole thing back but the box was so beaten up I am unsure if I could get it back in it.

Bought this bed for our 9 year old son's room. We frequently have my step kids over and thought this would be a great space-saver option for his rather small room. The bed has a great weight capacity and a sleek look for a boy who is always trying to be "cool". It was relatively easy to put together (2 adults/2.5 hours/2 beers). Overall the bed seems sturdy but does have a sway to it as you climb into the top bunk. It seems that the distance you need to keep it away from the wall (to allow for fold-out of the bottom bed) may have something to do with it. We're generally pleased with the quality and the price can't be beat! I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

We unboxed the bed and it had lots of pieces. Instructions said it would take 2 hours to assemble it took 4 hours but my teens put it together pretty easily. following the step by step instructions. It made it easier setting out the pieces in our living room and putting all the different screws in dixie cups with the #item on the dixie cup so we didn't have to go back and figure out which screw we were looking for. Following the directions step by step and only taking the pieces in the bedroom as we needed kept it easy to do and room enough to do it.

While putting a bed together you shouldn't have to grab the pliers and vice grips to bend the pieces to get to where the screws will align with the holes to put them in. With this one, you do. The small futon mattress stoppers do not fit properly and constantly fall off allowing the mattress to slide. The only easy part of assembly was the support bars that go beneath the mattresses. Wish we would've gone with a wooden set even though there's a considerable price difference.

this was for my son, so he wanted to assemble it, he is 13 and did it all alone except a touch at the beginning when joining the two sides together. only took him 3 hours so this is a good product in my opinion and the extra added weight limits are nice to have over the other models.

This wasn't a difficult bed to put together, I think it may have taken us a total of 2 1/2 hours since we took breaks here & there. It's very light and can be moved around the room. I would recommend buying a good futon mattress since it does lay on metal bars which allows it to be comfortable. We purchased this for a 12 & 8 year old who are in love with the bed.

Our Kids love these beds and really enjoy that they can turn the bottom into a futon to sit on. We didn't need anything fancy. We have 5 boys that will out grow them before to long. They are not bad looking beds for the price we paid. I don't really have an complaints other than one of the bunk beds had a couple of dents in it.
