I bought this cordless hand vacuum to clean my van since having kids does make it pretty messy. Anyways, I charge it all night and the suction was pretty okay but in less than 1 minute it slowly started to die out. I thought I didn't charge long enough so I charge it for 24hr and again, same thing happen. I guess I'll just stick to a vacuum. Some review say it's worth it but to me it's not worth it since I do want one to last a bit longer. I would not purchase this again and will be returning this back.

This little vacuum is amazing. My husband did his research before buying it and he did it well. It gives about 10-15 minutes of run time. That is plenty of time to vacuum our 7 passenger van. It handles most everything: cheerios from our kids, leaves from our trees that blow into our trunk, dirt, etc. The only tough part about it is to clean the hose (if small leaves have gotten bunched up in there.) That hasn't happened often though. All-in-all, I use this a lot more than I use my actual vacuum now. Love it!!!

I bought the FHV1200 about 4 years ago. My long term "test" has been great with this little workhorse. I use it almost daily and i have had no issues.
I'm still using the original filter the vacuum came with. I would recommend changing it once a year... but seeing as i have had no issues i haven't bothered.
Things to consider:
1.) Battery time is about 10-12 minutes. Honestly if you need more time then it's usually a job for a larger vacuum. It's a hand vac so you will have more than enough battery time for typical quick cleanups.
2.) You do have to empty it out one or two cleanings. I would also recommend quickly snapping out the filter and tapping in your garbage can. That removes dust from the filter and keeps the vacuum suction at an optimal level.
3.) Completely drain the battery a couple of times a month for optimal battery performance over the long term. My vac is literally 4 years old and i still get that 10-12 minutes.
The quality of the vacuum is great and the attachments are just what is needed for quick jobs.
I can't say enough about this little hand vac.

The unit is convenient to use because of portability, suction performance is not as advertised. Best use is for small dust piles or between furniture creases. Poor performer when it comes to vacuuming car carpets.

When i first used it, I loved the vacuum. However, i thought the battery would hold a charge...not so much. So I charged it a second time for 20 hours as stated. The vacuum lasted for 10min, if that. The battery life is terrible. I've only used it a few times and now it only last for 2 minutes. The vacuum is less than 6 months old. Very disappointing. Why have a cordless vac when you have to recharge it for 24 hours after using it for 2 minutes. I want my money back.

I've been searching for a GOOD value in a handheld vacuum for a loooooong time. They are either junk or have the type of battery which cannot be left plugged-in (really?!?!? Who unplugs their handheld each and every time?). This vacuum has very good suction, is easy to use and has great features -- the hose comes in handy; the included attachments work well (plus, they are "on board" so they are ready to use when needed); and the filter is very easy to clean (does anyone else make a dishwasher safe filter????). Overall, I am very satisfied.

My friend got this vac for Christmas and as we were at their house til after New Years I must have used this thing 10 times. (she didn't even get to use it yet @ that time) I started to use it to clean the edges of the living room and I just kept going throughout the whole house including all the edges of 5 good size rooms, a small carpeted stair case and a few odd spots, then I continued onto the main carpeted stair case which was pretty big and built up of dog hair from her 3 dogs. I got over 1/2 way up the staircase before 1 getting tired and 2 the vac started slowing down a little. Alot of these reviews say 5 min or so of use but I know I did ATLEAST 20- 30 min of straight cleaning. I love this thing and will get myself one. I keep thinking of all the uses at my own house and car I could use this and even tease her Im just going to run off with hers! :)

I received this vacuum as a gift recently and am so surprised how powerful it is! I used to own one of those handheld red dirt devils and was unhappy with the suction, battery life, and lack of tools. This little vac feels like your cleaning with the power of an upright. We have a few pets and fur gets everywhere. This vacuum is a huge help with cleaning the carpeted stairs where traffic pushes fur right down into the fibers. My upright vac is so awkward to handle on the stairs. This little vac was just as powerful as my upright,easy to handle, and got the job done in no time! It's definitely my new favorite tool for cleaning!

I've had this little vac about a year and love it. It's great to get things out of the car or when you don't want to drag the regular vac out. It holds a charge pretty well. I can do a really good, deep vacuum of the entire van and it lasts the entire time. I would buy it again.

Love this! Powerful, lightweight, long battery life. On board attachments very handy. Wrap around 4ft extendable hose super for cleaning nooks and crannys in car, other hard to reach locations. Have had NO problems with battery life. Greatest little handheld ever.

This was the worst little vac I have ever purchased! The suction is useless and the battery life is terrible. I wish I could take it back, but I have had it too long now. I kept thinking it was just me and that it would get better. There sure seems to be a lot of people that like it. I don't understand how some are so good and others are like mine.

This vacuum is not worth the money, the battery might last 3 minutes before draining down and losing suction. Now you have to put it back on charge and it will not run when plugged in. Not a good product.

For a 24 hour charge you should be able to run it longer than 10 minutes before it drains completely. You can't vacuum most cars in 10 mins. I also wanted it for stairs and vacuuming against baseboards. I was very disappointed and took it back. For the price you should get better run time and shorter charge time.

1st of all let me say that the suction on this was never great from the start. Then the next complaint is that it took over night to charge it up for about MAYBE 10-15 mins run time & of course all of that would not be the strongest suction that it had. My final complaint is that after owning this about 2 years it just stopped charging back up all together. And let me just say that in that 2 years it MIGHT had been used & charged back up once every 2 months...maybe. So it's definitely not like I dogged & wore it out in that 2 years & got my money worth by any means.

love the design, the light weight, the compact size and the attachments. For the price we thought it was perfect for our boat. We took it home charged it for 21 hours per the instructions and it ran for less than 2 minutes. We re-charged again for 21 hours and now it runs for maybe 10 - 12 minutes. Instructions say it will get better if fully charged and fully discharged. Its enough time to vacuum out our boat and it does a great job. If it lasted 20 minutes on a charge I would be happier but from what I have read 10 - 15 min is all you can expect from any rechargeable vacuum.
