Review 1 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
Excellent Value, However....

This all started because I needed a 12" fry pan with flared sides. A quick check of my America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook informed me that the All-Clad Stainless Steel is the brand to beat, and next thing I know, I'm holding the beautiful thing in my hands and about to shell out 120 clams for it! Eeep!
Long story short, I ended up with the 10 piece Tramontina set instead, for a mere $80 more. "Enthusiastically Recommended" by ATK, and backed by dozens of 5 star reviews from happy customers, I just had to try it. I figured it would compliment my favorite cast iron pieces and summarily replace the disk-bottom Belgiques wasting space in my cabinets.
My cookware arrived just a few days ago and overall I'm impressed. It's a beautiful set, a good weight, with comfortable handles. So far I've used the 4 quart sauce pan for making a pasta sauce and the 5 quart dutch oven for boiling pasta and making soup. Both performed nicely and as expected: even, distributed heating with no scorching or sticking....very similar to my porcelain-enameled dutch oven. Both pans cleaned up easily washing by hand. Quite pleased.
However, I do have just a couple complaints/concerns. Initial inspection out of the box revealed small imperfections on each piece. Every pan has at least one small, shallow scratch, either on the outside or on the cooking surface. Having never purchased stainless steel cookware before, I don't know whether or not this is par for the course. I decided however, at less than $200, I wasn't going to worry about what is probably nothing more than a cosmetic issue, especially considering how they will eventually look after years of use.
Secondly, the pans are not perfectly flat on the bottom. Tonight I noticed that the 5 quart dutch oven rocked a bit on the stove stop, so I whipped out a straight edge and checked each piece. Now, I have no idea if this is normal or considered a defect (or if it's even related to the wobble), but the bottom of each pan is arched very slightly, so the middle of the pan is slightly elevated from the edges. I then checked my old disk bottom Belgiques, and found that they are perfectly flat. As I use a gas range, I don't think I'll have an issue with the arch, but I wonder if users of glass top or induction ranges would? I've searched online and can't find anything on this topic, so if anybody out there reading this has a clue, please respond with a review and enlighten me! :)
Anyway, even with the cosmetic issues and the unexpectedly arched bottoms, I'm still very happy with my purchase, and I think I'll love cooking with this set. The craftsmanship may not be up to All-Clad standards, but it's close enough; and for the price, an unbelievable deal. I would, without hesitation, recommend Tramontina Tri-Ply Clad to anyone looking for quality, affordable cookware. Happy cooking :)

I ordered this set thinking it may be the old style with mirror finish on the inside (per the description), which according to some reviewers is heavier and better quality.
I did however receive the new style with brushed interior and labeled as Gourmet. I guess they no longer have the old style, in case anyone is wondering.

I only gave 4 out of 5 stars for the fact that like most cookware sets you get things you don't need or want.
I can't say enough good things about this brand of cookware. Great handles for leverage with a slightly heavy product, beautiful mirror finish, easy to use and simple to clean.
I will most definitely buy more of this product as my needs change.

Review 4 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
I trusted the review by Cook's Illustrated that said if money is no object buy All Clad but given money was the object; I went for the cookware they voted second best. I am very pleased with my purchase and its performance in my kitchen. I followed the manufacture's guidelines and have not experienced any problems.

Review 5 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
First this is definitely a bargain. You will not be able to find a set with the same specifications as this one. Full aluminum tri ply all the way up the sides with such even heating. The only downside I've seen is the handles are a little small and one of my lids had a very minor scratch even with such great wrapping. The item arrived earlier than expected and I had to pick it up at a fedex location. I would definitely recommend this set to any of my friends.

Review 6 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
Tramontina cookware is very well made. It is heavy so small or weak people should be aware. Can't comment on the durability haven't had the product long enough. I was a little disappointed with the way my package was handled. The box was really beat up with numerous holes in it and one of the pan handles was scraped from protruding through the box.

Review 7 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
The cookware set is sturdy and well constructed. The cookware is heavy, high quality, durable and very good looking set. I like especially the large 12 inch saute pan and large boiler. I expect this cookware set will last a long time.

Review 9 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
I'm not sure I can add to what almost everyone else has said. For the serious cook or those who like to, this is a fantastic set. Big drawbacks are no lids for the skillet and no 10" saute pan. Luckily I saved the lids from my last set which work just fine.
If you're looking for cookware that you plan on keeping for a long time to come, this is probably one of the best deals around.

Review 10 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
This set I just bought for my mother in law. I have had the same set for 4 years now and plan on using them for the rest of my life. I was scared to buy stainless but I have burned stuff to the bottom of the pan and was afraid I would have to throw it away. Just put some water in it, let it soak for an hour and it comes right out. Pan is good as new.

Just bought my 3rd set to go into my 3rd house. LOVE this cookware! Beautiful and durable. Had to learn how to use it as they heat up fast and it's easy to overcook with them. Expect these to last forever!

Review 12 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
I love my Tramonita cookware. I couldn't find a better price for tri-poly stainless steel cookware anywhere. The only thing I don't like is how heavy they are but so is all quality stainless steel cookware. Prior to this set I had a cheap set of coated pans.

Review 13 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
I purchased these to use with my new induction cooktop (as none of my existing pans worked -sigh). These are a third the price of All-clad and I have some of each and can not tell them apart. The one caveat is that these are made in China and the All-Clads are made in the USA.

Review 14 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
I am so happy with these pans! I'm a former Revereware copper bottom user as well as having previously owned caphalon non-stick. All of which have warped on the bottom or just plain broke. The Tramontina Stainless Tri-Ply are awesome! Right up there in line with All Clad, but at a much more reasonable price point. Everything I make cooks faster, more evenly, and at a much lower temperature. The handles have a great length and feel. These pans are also nicely weighted. They are also very easy to clean. Just a short soak and gentle scrub with Baking soda or Barkeeper's Friend and they sparkle just like brand new. I am so happy with my purchase! The only thing I wish is that they were made in the USA.

Review 15 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
Great quality! Much more affordable than the top brand. I'm loving my new cookware. I just with the finish wasn't mirror, it won't stay for too long with heavy use. Overall, be smart and buy Tramontina.

I did my research before switching from my Calpholon anodized nonstick to stainless steel. I was going to by Emerilware tri-ply, but read too many negative reviews. I never heard of Tramontina before, read about this online, compared to All-Clad. I purchased the 10 piece set a couple of weeks ago and have really enjoyed cooking with this cookware. It is beautiful, washes very well. There is a difference cooking with nonstick, regardless of the manufacturer. I find these easy to clean, even when food gets stuck to the pan. I never had stainless steel tops before, always glass, I don't find it is a problem. The handles on the tops do get hot, so you will need a towel to pick up after cooking. The handles on the cookware remain cooler. I would purchase additional pieces, as this 10 piece set comes with the larger pots. This is really a great value for high quality cookware.

Review 18 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
w/o lids, the 4 quart pan weighs almost 3 3/4 pounds vs. my virtually identical all clad 3 pounds 3 oz. pan (also has handle and loop). The 12 quart pan is a monster. Large, heavy at 6 1/2 pounds w/o lid, add a couple gallons of water and you are looking at over 20 pounds. Difficult to impossible to empty if you are trying to get the last of a big batch of cooked beans from the bottom. Have only used 3 pans so far. The 5 quart pan is nice and I expect to use it often. Lids fit well, the biggest pot's lid is not as good a fit but seems to hold in the steam anyway. I recommend following all use directions carefully. You will warp the bottoms if you use too much heat without water to disburse it.

Review 19 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
I purchased this set for my daughter as a gift, and she hasn't had a chance to use it yet, but loves the appearance. (I bought her the 10-piece set rather than the 8-piece so she would have the the bigger skillet and the stock pot.) I don't own the complete set, but my experience with my open stock 2-quart and 3-quart saucepans has been great. I bought them after seeing them in the store and being impressed with the weight and appearance of the pieces, and reading the Cooks Illustrated review favorably comparing the Tramontina tri-ply to All-Clad. I have never owned an All-Clad piece, but I can't imagine it being any higher quality than the Tramontina. It heats evenly, cleans up easily and still looks like new even after 2-3 years of daily use. I would recommend this cookware to anyone looking for quality tri-ply cookware. Outstanding value! Unfortunately, neither the Tramontina sets nor open stock pieces are still carried in any of our local stores. I wish Walmart would bring this product back into stores!

Review 20 for Tramontina 10-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set
This is an excellent set of cookware especially for the cost. They were heavier than I expected and heat up so much faster and more evenly than my previous non-stick cookware. I bought some Bar Keepers Friend cleanser and they shine up right away when cleaning.
