Stack-On Stack-On PDS-500 Electronic Locking Drawer Safe
Keep your valuables safe in one single, storage space using the Stack on PDS-500 Drawer Safe. Ideal for storing pistols, ammo, and valuables at home or in the office, this Stack-on drawer safe is a secure way to keep things inaccessible to children and safe from theft. Solid steel, pry-resistant doors, steel locking bolts, and concealed hinges ensure greater security. This steel drawer safe has been tested by a certified California Department of Justice laboratory and is rated as an approved firearm safety container. The safe incorporates an electronic lock that is easy to program and has a backup trouble key. The lock times-out in the event of three incorrect combinations. This safe with electronic lock has pre-drilled holes and includes fastening hardware for mounting on the floor or a shelf.

The safe seems to be built solidly. My one complaint is that there are only two holes for bolts to secure the safe to something.

I purchased both the Stack-On RDS-500 Electronic Locking drawer safe and the Sentry Quick Access Safe 0.08 cubic feet to compare them. This one LOST hands down and I am returning it. The best word to describe the Stack-On Electronic Locking Drawer Safe is 'CLUMSY'. The lock is loose, the safe is too deep, and the gun hits on the sides when removing it. Also since this safe does not have any type of arm to hold the lid open, quick removal is impossible. The entire dresser drawer would need to be removed to open the lid enough to remove the firearm. In addition, the battery compartment protrudes into the safe space awkardly. Do yourself a favor and purchase the Sentry Quick Access Safe 0.08 cubic feet if your firearm will fit in it.

The picture is very accurate for the contents of this safe. The safe will make a beep sound when pressing the keys, but that can be turned off. Being able to enter the safe without sound may be useful at some point. There other safes that offer the soundless entry system,but the price is twice as much. Consider the size length 11 3/4" , 8 1/2" deep and the height is 4 1/2". The safe will take up some room in the drawer no doubt, but it is worth the price and will keep unwanted hands out. I can see someone using this safe for a pocket pistol,passports, money, or other small very important keep sakes.

I bought this safe to keep my handgun safely out of our kids reach but easily accessible in case of emergency. It does both. Still have to figure out where to mount it. Won't fit in bedside drawer, which is where I'd hope to install it. The hidden key access is a plus. Haven't seen a better electronic safe for this purpose under $50.

I bought one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Combination was easy to set. I think it is plenty strong enough to keep all but a determined their out. Easily holds two pistols extra magazines and more.

Sturdy construction , 2 heavy duty bolts for door , 2 keys supplied in case of battery failure or forgotten pass code. Its not the best but check out the "price" on the rest! This is a great product for the price. I do not hesitate to recommend this product.

I was looking for several low-cost safes so I can keep weapons in various rooms of my house without worrying about them being misused. These safes have filled the bill. This safe is sturdy and safe, but extremely easy to bypass for anyone who really want to open it. Fine for keeping things safe from your younger children. Plenty heavy and should be easy to secure in out of the way with quick access as long as you remember the combination. Use of key will require prying off the keyhole cover so would stifle any rapid access.

For the money, you can't beat this. I bought this for a lower cost safe to store a gun at a cabin. For my primary residence, I will buy something that is a push button style to open it. If this same brand offers it, I will get it because I was pleasantly surprised at this quality.

I needed this safe to lock up things in my home, that I don't want others to access. This safe is perfect, I don't have to carry a key around because I use a code to open. I was using a fire box, but that was able to be pried open. This safe cannot be pried open. It bolts to the drawer for added security.

much quicker than a key lock or rotary dial tumbler lock. It is very well constructed and
very solid. My only complaint would be the weight. It is a little on the heavy side if you decide
to travel with it. Overall I am very happy with mine and would definitely consider buying another
one should the need present itself.
