I tasked my genius son with finding a quality bluray player at a great price. He's real good at finding quality A/V equipment at the best prices. So, your shopping homework is already done for you. You can buy this unit, or you can waste your time and money with something else. Seems to work just fine.

Very cool but didn't work.,

It looks like a bluray player, smells like a bluray player but unfortunately the one we got had a defective HDMI output. Back it went. The Philips we bought from Walmart in its place for about the same price is working great and believe it or not came with an HDMI cable. Too cool. Mourntaintroll123

Super Awesome Deal,

Got this for my GF a few weeks ago for valentines day. This was our first blu-ray but It works great, Absolutely blown away with the quality on blu-ray and reg. dvd. Would highly recomend this product to anyone looking to upgrade. Great product at an excellent value.

I think it's great. I know some people have had complaints, but as long as you hook it up correctly, it will upgrade DVD's to 1080p and the blue ray is terriffic. It can be confusing to set up if you have a multi unit audio/video system, but is worth the effort.

I bought this for my husband and he is in love with it. it works really good and when my husband went to register it on pioneer's web site they have the same one for $80 more than i spent. So that made my day to have saved so much money.

A little slow loading at times but worth the wait. Great picture and quality for the price. Good way to enter the blu-ray field for not so much money. I like that you can control the tv with the remote as well. That really helps.

Great product for the price but slow as molaaaaasis. What is lacks in speed, it by far makes up in picture quality. I would recommend for a first time Blu ray player and also, you just can't beat the price for the brand name.

I find this Pioneer Blue- Ray disc player perfect for technophobes like me. It was easy to hookup and has the capabilities described. I am very impressed with the quality of the picture, sound and ease of operation.
