5-Piece Counter Height Dining Set, Walnut Finish

I was very satisfied with this set. It is very heavy/sturdy solid wood through out!! It is easy to assemble. It is just the right size and would be a great addition in any house!

I've been looking for almost 3 years for a dining set for our kitchen. Everything I've seen at furniture stores was either too big or cost way too much. We have a large dining room where we already have a formal dining set, but the space in our kitchen for a set is fairly small and trying to find something that is pretty and smaller was a trick (we've been using a card table set for 3 years!). I just happened to see this a few weeks ago and called around to several different stores until I found one that had it in stock and I went to get it immediately. We were very impressed by how easy it was to put together. The directions were very easy to follow and the alignment for all the screws/holes matched perfectly so the chairs and table are not wobbly at all. Very solid construction and it looks absolutely gorgeous. The only thing that was a trick was aligning the seats once the chairs were put together, but it was no big deal once the first chair was done. I would recommend this to anyone. My husband put most of it together, but I could have done it myself if I had to. This set is definintely "furniture store" quality for a fraction of the price!

This dining set makes a great addition to any room, even in a small apartment or large open space.
I looked around for months and I was attracted to this set, it's a counter height table, yet elegant and stylish. It is made of solid wood... I really like the detail finish on the top of the table, it's really nice. If you buy this, you won't be disaponited at all. Happy shopping... :o)

Read all of the reviews prior to purchase and decided to take a chance...never know when buying unassembled furniture, but I was pleasantly surprised! Really nice quality and not too bad to put together....about 2 hours for 2 people. Be mindful that getting the box home can be tricky due to the heaviness of it, but know that the inside is packaged really well so if the edges of the box are dented everything should be fine. I mention this because in order to get the box into the house, we had to put the box on it's end and "roll" it in. Anyway, looks really great in my small space!

I am a review READER this is my 1st time as a writer. I just felt that I had to thank all of the writers before me. Their input truly helped with my "angst". And they did not mislead me. Read the reviews above. They are accurate. It is a big box and you will need a larger hatchback or a minivan (a pickup truck works good too) It is heavy, but I carried it myself. (OK, my daughter held the door). Get a friend to help, or unpack the many pieces outside. If you are handy in the least, you CAN do this. If you are not, just take your time, you CAN do this. If you do not already have a cordless drill/driver, invest in an inexpensive one - you can get them for $20) I agree that predrilling on the underside of the seat would have been nice from the factory. I attempted to predrill the first seat myself, but then inspecting the type of wood, I realized that it could handle a straight screwing. (I did back the screw out and then re-insert-that gave better penetration). I did predrill as best as possible on the cross members into the legs. Again, where the chuck came too close to the wood, I just screwed, backed out and re-inserted.
Even if you have an extension bit on your driver, have a good regular screw driver (hand held) available to "finish" the job. I found that the "bore" on the cross members was not quite "true".
I now have a very sturdy set.
You do have to "eyeball" the placement of the actual seat onto the frame, but if you don't overthink it, it works well.
I have waited 5 months before writing this review as others have delayed theirs. And my opinion stands. This is a respectable purchase. I have a 13yr old that is not graceful at this time. And the table and chairs are taking the worse that she can give them.
The detail on the table surface is more than I expected. The veneer is of a good quality as well. Every two or three weeks I polish the table with lemon oil and can then just wipe off any occasional spills at meal time.
With the set I had prior to this, I had to tighten the screws on the chairs at least every 5 weeks, I have yet to tighten a single thing on this set. And, seeing the type of wood that is used, I don't anticipate needing to address that for a long time.
If you are looking for a counter height table and chair set, you can spend more money, but you don't have to with this set.
The long and the short of it is that I throw my vote in with the multitude of positve reviews that have written before me. This is a good set at a good price.

we love everything about this product,except the chairs wobble a little. it is a beautiful walnut color. i love the taller table and chairs. i would highly recomend this item for any 4 member family.go on out and buy it!

It turned out to be a totally gorgeous table. I just wasn't sure that something that had to be assembled (by me) was going to turn out so sturdy and expensive looking. It is! Perfect for a small space, and the chairs are pretty comfy.

I picked it up at the Site to Store location in my Walmart and it was HEAVY, needed a dolly. Also the box is really big so don't expect to squish in the back seat of your car, bring a truck or SUV.

The Table and chairs are surprisingly elegant. The design on the table top is beautiful. The chairs are heavy and sturdy and they are very comfortable.
This is a product worthy of being in a high quality furniture store. It requires a good amount of time for assembly. You will definitely benefit by using an electric screwdriver but very easy. If you are hesitant to purchase this set, don't be. You will love it. I bought two sets for our family room at school and our families are so impressed.
