its a nice tent for the money, i don't know about it's being waterproof,i have had it set up under a canopy. It has good ventilation, and good coverage with the rain fly.It is very roomy and plenty tall, for a six foot person to stand in. It would be better if there were a net up top to put things to dry,or keep dryif the tent were to leak.A place to hang a lamp would also be a plus.

This Tent preformed exceptional for the price, We had one day of downpours and high winds with not a drop inside. We had plenty of room with two queen size air beds. Easy to set up my only complaint is when the nylon around the zipper area is moist it gets caught in the zipper, I think they could make it out of a stiffer fabric. Also we tried two times to fold the tent up and get it into the container with no success. But otherwise tent is a great value.

For the price - it was great. Very light weight & easy to pack & carry. Only issues were the door zipper catches a little - need two hands to zip it. It does not fit back into it's original bag, but we purchased a larger one & that works great. Nice & roomy.

Good size tent. Fits everything nicely. We had a huge rain storm and it did leak. Puddle in two corners and as I was sleeping the occasional rain drop fell on my head. While you can sleep with the rain fly off, everyone will be able to see you. No privacy whatsover. Problem is, it gets very hot in there. Not much ventilation if you leave the rain fly on. Two very small, about 1'X2' windows on either end and a 2'X2' window in the door. Definately could not breath in there. We were camping on cape cod. So unless you want to be seen by everyone around you, you would need a tent with more ventilation if you are camping in any kind of heat.

Used this new tent just last week. My 14 yo son and I set it up without difficulty. The rest of the family joined us later in the day- my husband, 2 more sons, and a dog! The next day it stormed for 8 hours- thunder, lightning, and heavy downpours. NO LEAKS!! We were thrilled! The only negative comment I have it that it's advertised to sleep 8. Perhaps 8 would work with small children, but my boys are 12, 14, and 21, our dog is a Lab, and I was grateful that we had a second tent. That became mine! The guys were comfortable, but only because I slept elsewhere! Overall, though, we LOVE the tent! Great value for the price. I highly recommend it- but don't plan on sleeping 8 in it unless you are all very tiny. :^)

This tent has a nice base - tarp-like- thicker than the bottom of other tents we've owned. Stayed dry in heavy rain. It's tall enough to stand up straight in and roomy. The poles are tricky to figure out during the first setup because they are not labeled and are different sizes. But once you know what to do it's easy to set up. But we have not been able to get it to square off as in the photos yet. It's a bit sloppy. But we did have a problem with our last use with the poles cracking and bending. It appears that the heat in August weakened then near the metal barrels and they cracked. Since the tent was made for Walmart, Coleman cannot replace it. They are sending us a repair kit. And you need 2 hands top open the door. Not convenient that the zippers are stubborn. It is our first Coleman tent purchase and after 3 trips it need to be repaired. Our other tents are 20 years old and are still good.

You can't go wrong with this coleman tent, very fast setup in 10 - 15 minutes. Sleeps eight , we had six in the tent for two nights and had plenty of space.Everyone commented on how much they enjoyed the spaciousness. Rain was our biggest concern when were buying this tent. It rained for at least 4-5 hours the second night with some pretty strong wind gust. The tent did not leak at all and was rather sturdy in the wind. We are very happy with this Coleman tent.

We purchased this tent mainly because, I read the reviews and they said garanteed to stay dry, and we did! It rained / Thunderstormed for 2 nights of our trip, and it rained very heavy. We did not get wet, and thats what counts. I did take some precautions, of spray sealing the seams, and a light tarp. But we loved it! - Roomy, Dry, & fairly easy to set up. I am only 5'1 but stood in it with no problem.

one of the frame has broken three times and resulted in a lot of hassel during the three day camping trip. No quality issue with other aspects though. Easy to set and large enough. No rain during the trip so do not know how well it performs in water proofing. Returned!

It's a very nice tent. It did not leak when it rained. It did get hot inside during the day with the windows unzipped. It was perfect for our family of 4 however, there is no way 8 people could sleep in this tent unless most of them were small.

Here's what I have to say about this tent:
-- On a scale from 1-10, the durability, toughness and quality of material would be a 6.
-- The setup is relatively easy, but I would highly recommend a 2nd person - especially when putting on the rain fly.
-- Not a year round tent. Great for family summer camping or yard camping on flat surface area. Would not use in heavy brush or deep woods camping.

We researched tents thoroughly. we ended up buying the Coleman Concept/Stockton. We love this tent. The tent is very easy to set up. Between my wife and I, we can get the tent up in about 10 minutes. Entire roof is a screen - great for ventilation. There is a rain top. There are two windows at both ends of the tent as well as a window in the top half of the door.
For the money is a great roomy tent, few leaks after a few hours pouring, but that is normal in all tents

We bought this tent as a 2nd choice; the one that I really wanted was out of stock everywhere. From the time we set this up it rained for 3 days on & off (More on.) I looked for months at tents & again this tent was my 2nd choice for an affordable tent. This tent was a champ & stayed dry the entire time. However there is no way this tent could hold 8 people. There was room for a double queen size matteress & two dog cages & two bags of clothes. I wouldnt recommend for more than 4 people unless you like being crowded. If the kids are small maybe 3 of them. But if your looking for a good tent that will keep you dry this would be it. The only real downfall is that there is only the 1 door. I prefer at least 2 doors.

This tent has a lot room . Slept four people and had room for all our gear. One queen airbed and two single air beds. Had a heavy thunder storm that put down a inch and a half of rain and no leaks in the tent but we had to make a fast get away from the creek that was flooding. Great tent lot's of room and NO LEAKS!

I bought this tent to replace one that was horrid! The tent was the only one big enough for the three of us & our stuff (the store had very few tents in stock). While the tent was huge, it more than met our needs. This tent was not difficult to set up, take down, or pack into it's original container bag. We camped inside Yellowstone National Park August 2009 & were extremely happy with the durability of the tent. We set the tent up and went on our way to tour the park- hours later we arrived back at our campsite to realize the ground was covered with hail (pea to dime size)- the tent survived!!!! The interior was dry as was all of our gear. I will forever recommend Coleman gear for camping after this tent.

This tent is well made, the poles are sturdy. The stakes are a bit weak, but they do work. I've used the tent twice now, neither time did it rain, so I can't tell you how it stands up to a constant downpour, but it does well against a hose (I tested it for about 5 minutes). I can tell you it held up well in 20-30 mile an hour wind. It shook and bellowed, but never went down nor did we loose anything. On a side note, I did figure out it is easier to stake the tend down completly before putting the poles in. Makes positioning it correctly much easier. Also, push the fiberglass poles through both sides (half) of the pole channels before you try and bend them and put them on their stakes. Pushing the poles through and bending them at the same time is harder. It says it is an 8 man tent, well honestly, it's more like a 5 man tent and stuff. 2 small queen size mattresses would fit, but it would be tight. I've got a family of 5, my wife and I sleep on a queen mattress, the kids sleep in just sleeping bags and there is a ton of room in the tent for them and our "stuff".
