Terk Low-Profile Indoor Amplified TV Antenna

VERY GOOD RECEPTION,FOR A 32" HDTV.THE TOWERS ARE ANY WARE FROM 10 TO 20 MILES AWAY.THE SALE PERSON AT WALMART ,WAS TELLING ME THAT THE OLD TYPE RABBIT EARS DON'T DO MUCH WITH THE NEW DIGITAL SIGNAL. HEIGHT DOESN'T DO ANY BETTER,WIDE HORIZONTAL IS BETTER. UNFORTUNATELY THEY DON'T CARRY THAT TYPE IN THE STORE,HAD TO ORDER ONLINE.

I have purchased other antennas and returned them. This antenna is easy to use and I was actually able to get better reception with this particular antenna.

This was the second antenna purchased after the HD conversion. I am now able to pick up all the local channels but one and would recommend the device to all who just don't want to deal with the cable folks.

I bought 2 of these antennae. I tried one at my home in Overland Park KS which is no more than 15 miles from local Kansas City channels. I tried using it in an upstairs bedroom and could not get 2 stations at all and the others ranged from good to fair. No matter where I placed the antenna I got the same results. I found that the rabbit ears I had was able to get all the stations pretty well, so a more expensive antenna did nothing for us. I then connected the terk to a first floor tv in rural Lawrence KS which is probably 50 miles from the Kansas City towers and all stations came in just fine. Rabbit ears in Lawrence brought poor reception. So the bottom line is results vary depending on your location and being closer to the stations does not guarantee greater success.
